We have been going to East Maryland Animal Hospital for over 20 years. We have moved to the West Valley and yet still make the drive to 7th Street and Maryland. Dr. Hoppe, is compassionate and an excellent clinician of veterinary medicine. We haven't seen the other doctors, as Dr. Hoppe has always been available. Animals are the number one priority at East Maryland. In the patient rooms they have a monitor, featuring their staff and tid bits of info about common pet problems and illnesses. This is a wonderful clinic for your beloved pets. The staff and the doctors are attentive, supportive and helpful in every way. I highly recommend this clinic. When my 20 year old cat became suddenly very ill, I called the clinic as a new patient and was able to bring him in within a half hour. The staff and Dr. Martens did blood work right away and the results were available in just a few minutes. I have been a client for almost 5 years to EMAH. We have 5 cats and did have 2 doggies up until a month ago. They have treated our animals with love and care. Animal vet care is pricey. Bottomline, anywhere you go you are going to pay but this office shows care and compassion. I have never had them try to upsale me. They are always respectful. My cat would give this place 1 star because he did not enjoy having a thermometer up his butt and getting a shot. But I have other criteria to rely on, and this is definitely a 5 star vet! 1) The staff is so friendly. I've been to other vets where you feel like the staff could care less about you or your pet, and that is not the case here. This is the dog's doctor and we're also taking puppy training classes here every Wednesday. The trainer is great and Pip seems pretty happy there.

They may not be the cheapest, but they treat me and all of my animals very well.
Got me in quickly when my puppy was not feeling well... I was afraid I would have to take him to the emergency Vet (which is extremely expensive), but East Maryland Animal Hospital got me in ASAP and was very attentive to my little one. They are a little on the expensive side- but it beat the Emergency Vet fees
