I took my cat in for an emergency visit. He had a very bad ear infection and was not able to keep his balance. They refused to see him at all. I've been here many times before and had no problems. I don't know what their problem was but I will not ever go back to this place ever again. I hope viewers read this message and take heed. After I left this place I went to another vet and they took him in right away.
The ONLY reason we come here is due to Dr. Clemons. This place is very expensive. It would be well worth your time to do some research into other vets for better pricing
I've asked multiple veterinarians at The clinic. Even the head vet. She gave me an estimate for a half a year but never mentioned that the cytopoint injections themselves cost $200 per. Why??? So I just went in there and was forced to pay $200 out of my butt a few weeks ago because I didn't know. No one had mentioned you paid PER. INJECTION. Why? Sales tactic. No, I've tried 3 vets, even your head vet. That's not even to mention the X-ray I got last year which wasn't even an X-ray. I paid $200 for y'all to get a crooked X-ra... read more

We take our feedback seriously and which is why I reviewed your account in detail. Unfortunately, I was unable to find that we did any x-rays on your pet, but did find that you had x-rays done at another veterinary hospital. Please call our office so we can discuss further. Thank you.
We all expect vets to be compassionate and caring for our animals. I was referred to Dr. S by a trusted friend, who is now also planning to pull her several dogs from this vet. My dogs were patients here for about a year. The first visits for regular checkups were acceptable, but much higher priced than at previous vets. But the last couple of visits were pretty horrifying, and that's why I switched vets. I wanted to share with the community some of what I observed there, but I know this is long, so skip over it if yo... read more

We take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail. Unfortunately, we are unable to identify you as a client based on the account name this review is posted from though. Please give us a call at your convenience and ask for the manager. Thank you.
I've been going to this vet for a bit over two years now and I made the decision this week that it is time to find better care for my baby. I do want to start by saying that the staff at this clinic is super nice and always treated me and my fur baby well. However, at the end of the day my priority is the health of my pup and the quality of medical care he receives. The first year that I was there I paid for the paw plan. Yes, it is over priced but at the time I thought it was reasonable considering I had read many rev... read more

Dear Maria, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Your input is valuable to let us know what we're doing right, as well as things we can improve on. We strive to exceed our clients' expectations with every visit and the majority of the time we succeed. In the rare instances we don't earn "five stars", we are grateful for the chance to know how we can improve. We are very pleased to see that you have been treated friendly by our staff and noted that they are "Super Nice". Unfortunately, we are unable to compete with Walmart o... read more
The service used to be very good, but has been declined in the last year. I have been unhappy with the quality of service. Integrity of the business has declined as integrity of the veterinarian and the assistants have been displeased. Caught red flags everytime I went there. For example, a month ago the medication was $20 cheaper with a huge jump in dollar figures without consistent fees. I looked at my old invoices to compare the dates when treated and prices being charged for treatments. None of invoices of same treatment... read more
took my cats in on a referral from a work friend, the staff actually is nice and professional, however our oldest cat needed surgery and though the surgery was a success, our cat now has an issue when she cries... her meows are very strained and horse sounding. when I called in a few days after the surgery to mention this to the staff, the receptionist refused putting me through to the doctor, and told me that it was "normal" after a procedure... I asked to have the doctor call me, but received no call....no call till sever... read more

Randolph, we take your feedback seriously and apologize you were not satisfied with your experience. It is always our number one priority to provide exceptional veterinary care and client service, so we are sad to hear you don't feel this to be the case. We reached out and left a message checking on Peaches after her surgery and also called to inform you of her histopath results. Our doctor did in fact address your kitty's hoarse meow at her suture removal and suggested you call if it persisted but unfortunately we never hea... read more
(Edited to address the misleading and inaccurate comments by EMAH in response to the review) I absolutely would not recommend East Maryland Animal Hospital. Our first vet seemed competent but the second one we saw, Dr. Clemons, is terrible at her job. Once she told us our puppy had to lose 4 to 5 pounds, even though she gave her about five treats while we were there (they never ask if they can, they just ask if the dog has allergies). Then after she lost one pound, a vet tech told us she had to lose 2 more while Dr. Clemon... read more

We appreciate your feedback and hear your concerns. We do utilize the asset of a board certified radiologist to review patients' X-rays, as they can sometimes help to investigate issues beyond the general practitioner's assessment which can be a useful benefit for the pet. That is the radiologist's expertise and sole job and we find it helpful to add their recommendations into our treatment plans. Our doctors recommend tests such as X-rays if a pet is brought in with concerns of discomfort, but believe in reviewing an estim... read more
I have gone for years but will never go again. The only good thing about this visit was the receptionist. The vet assistant was unfriendly, borderline rude. The vet was worthless. Seriously? You can't find my dogs pulse? You think my dog is too noisy to hear her heart? Then why did I PAY $60??? You can't do anything! You have to look everything up online? I can do that, and have, at home. Why should I pay you to research potential problems online? This was not the Vet I have seen in the past. I want a refund!! You did NOTHING... read more
