customer since 2002 of EAST MARYLAND ANIMAL. Since the clinic was sold Ive found front & back office staff are UNABLE to GET THEIR COLLECTIVE ACTS TOGETHER.. My 11 yr old had BENIGN TUMOR- back paw. That vet said, difficult spot & it didn't look easy or inexpensive for surgery. That vet DID lab & finding.. tumor BENIGN not long before. the tumor recently became so big & started bleeding from rubbing. I took her here. - I met w/surgeon, Dr Waite & seemed knowledgeable but I DID MAKE IT CLEAR at least 3 times @ ... read more
I would caution against choosing this vet clinic, given the number of other options available in the Phoenix metro.. I brought my cat in for an initial check-up in January, and they only detected minor tartar on her teeth. On a second check-up in April they detected a need to remove a tooth, and provided me with a quote ranging from ~$900-$1300, with their earliest appointment in September. I scheduled that appointment. When I went it today for my pre-op appointment, they were now quoting me at a range from ~$1200-$1900. Whe... read more
If I could give this less stars I would. It's too bad. My dog has allergies. Did a full $90 exam and some shots. Was told that for the next year I could come in and just get the shots. I called in 8 1/2 months later and tried to make an appt for her allergy shot. They told me I was almost at a year and had to pay the $90 again. When I proved with their records it had been 8 1/2 months, Bree (front desk) was rude and told me it had been 10months (she obviously isn't good with math) and still didn't make it 12 months she was s... read more

We took our pets here for 7 years. Dr. Clemons is a wonderful, compassionate and competent vet (5 stars for her personally), but we are leaving the practice solely due to the jarringly condescending, arrogant and dismissive manner in which an employee named KATY spoke to me today when I was desperate for my mother's sick and elderly cat to be seen. The practice deserves better representation and can credit this singular awful experience with Katy for the loss of our business.
Business response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. As we explained to you during your visit, we were experiencing technical issues with our operating system that significantly impacted our ability to provide service. We understood the urgency to have your mother's cat seen, which is why we reached out to a nearby clinic and coordinated an appointment to have your pet worked in to their schedule as soon as was possible. It was explained to you that you may experience a short wait, as they would triage your pet and work you in as qu... read more
Rushed our cat to the hospital and said they have no doctors. How do you not have any doctors in this hospital? Three grown ladies just on their computers not doing anything and couldn't care less about our cat. Super unprofessional and I hope you guys do not bring your animal there if it's "an emergency"
Today, East Maryland you get one star. Where on Earth was the help or lead? Great place, however consistent help? Instead of your staff running away and hiding every time it's expected to get busy, have you tracked their Time off Task? How often is there only one person working in the front?
Business response:
We apologize for your negative experience, Sasha. We appreciate your feedback and will address your concerns regarding staff availability and assistance during busy times. We strive to provide excellent service and will work on improving our staffing to ensure better support for our customers. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I understand that appointments run longer than expected or a doctor gets busy with a sick pup, but not informing the other people waiting is unprofessional. This has happened several times and I finally moved on. I explained to the staff that a simple update would have kept me there but running 23 minutes behind, left in a room with a high energy dog, is not how you do business. To then text (not call) a client and tell them it was less time is like a slap in the face. Great staff overall, but a poorly run business.
Business response:

This practice was good years ago, but has been terrible lately. Their customer service is non-existent and they can never accommodate your pets. They charge some of the highest prices I've ever paid for sub-par service and depending on who the receptionist is you might be treated rudely as well. They try to find any opportunity to get you to pay for extra vet exams even when you have just had your pet examined. They also will fail to mention when your pet is due for a vaccine etc. just so they can get you to bring them in an... read more
OMG where do I start. My first and only visit was a freekn nightmare! Not only that, the main vet, a woman with gray hair was the one treating my dog. She was so outwardly rude to me why? Because I had a Trump shirt on. she was repulsed the moment she walked in the exam room. That was my only crime. But I came in for my dog, not me. She was also in a hurry to make her flight to DC because she was going to an anti-Trump demonstration. (the front office told me as I was making pmt) The vet OD'd my dog on so much valium that s... read more

We take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail. We do not have any "gray hair" veterinarians who work here and non who have taken a trip to DC recently. We sure you have reviewed us in error. We kindly ask that you give us a call at your convenience or update your review to address the correct animal hospital. 602-279-7366 Thank you.
