I really enjoyed my stay at Cooper Square residence during the summer. I've listed some reasons on why I thought it was a valuable place to live. I stayed at the Marymount Manhattan residence in midtown. Things were pretty standard: furnishings, size/space, cleanliness, and service. It's sort of what you'd expect for living in a student housing situation (glorified dorm) for a few months. Definitely no problem if you are spending the large majority of your time in the office or out and about. I'm not the biggest fan of midtown, but the location is very convenient overall. Great place to stay especially if you are new to the city. It was nice having laundry in the building and free food sometimes! The staff is very nice and if you send in a maintenance request, they will fix it fast. I would definitely think about staying here again.

I stayed at the St. George residence for about 6 weeks this past summer while working an internship in Manhattan. Before moving in, I'd read some of the reviews on Yelp and some of them terrified me. Upon move in, I was pleasantly surprised at just how good this residence was and think that a lot of the reviews here are misrepresentative of the St. George experience (or at least my St. George experience). I agree with everything Paige C. said. The St. George sometimes has issues like any old and historic building does, but the maintenance people and EHS staff are so helpful and diligent that you'll get any problem fixed in no time. You get one of the greatest perks that many New Yorkers are not lucky enough to have in their apartment buildings - a big laundry facility IN the building. The St. George has its fair share of problems, as many reviewers have shared, but it's also a fantastic residence. First of all, the price: the dorm is expensive, but if you look at all the accommodations and amenities you get when you live right next to the Brooklyn Bridge, the price is reasonable. It's hard to get a hold of people. They need to provide a DIRECT number for the St. George. Depending on when you call, when you call the toll free number, the people can't really help you if you're looking for your child who is a resident who you haven't heard from in days. The reps on the phone instead ask you questions like when are you looking for housing (even though the person you are calling about is already a resident).
