Get directionsEHS in the new yorker hotel is great, everyone is real nice and helps you out. Milton the RD is the best. If you ever have a problem he will take care of it for you like it is his own problem. Overall this place is a fun place to be.
I agree with Dan, I have been living with EHS for almsot 2 years now and wouldnt chooose any where else to live. It becomes so stressful when you have to look for apartments that arent secured while making sure they arent fake rentals. When me and my parents discovered EHS online we new right then and there that was the one. When we went to look at the places they showed us all different types of rooms and allowed us to have a wide variety and a great experience of what we will be given. Upon moving in the staff was very wel... read more

I lived on the Clark Side in Brooklyn Heights. Those are newly renovated, so the rooms are much nicer. I also currently live in the 1760 building which is a little over a year old- It's a nice location because it's in Manhattan & the overall appearance of the building is very nice. There's also a 24/7 gym in the basment. I enjoyed the gym at Brooklyn Heights too, they give you that complimentary membership and it has a pool and a sauna. but i'm a bit of a night owl so the 24/7 gym is a better fit.

This is a review of the St. George Hotel, not Clark. Despite living in the St. George, I never actually went into above the 1st floor in the Clark, so it could be totally different for all I know. This place, housing many art + design school kids, has a lot of interesting people. The rooms can be decently sized to flipping huge for dorm rooms. It's really a game of Russian Roullette. One side has the decently sized double ooms, and the other has huge ones, with some even having 2 single bedrooms. I lived in a double, but it... read more
It's not a real hotel... but it is a dormitory for college students. The rooms aren't that great (which I'd consider 3 stars), but it's also connected to the Clark Residence which has 5 star rooms (so 4 star average all for an exorbitant price natch)! They provide students with laundry, lounges, kitchens, mail and package pickup, and a decent amount of activities to entertain.
I must be having a very different experience than Haley P. I live at the Cathedral Garden residence on the UWS and it's fabulous. The apartments are generally rented out to Barnard faculty and grad students. New hardwood floors, new furniture, new bathrooms, new kitchens. Lounge on the tenth floor with a nice view and a plasma tv. Each room has its own regular tv, plus basic cable. Air conditioning. My only complaint is the guest policy and the mean doormen, but whatever. Oh, and it's a tad bit expensive, but it's way easier... read more
If you can avoid staying here, you should. It's quite unfortunate that people coming to New York for school often have no other option for housing if your parents aren't loaded/have a guarantor. Regardless, the issues here are rampant. There is only one laundry room for 3 entire buildings available, and you must have cash to refill your laundry card because the credit card machine doesn't work. The hot water and AC regularly dont work and maintenance will not be responsive to this. Also, they hold your packages hostage for t... read more
My son lived here for one semester. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially for the amount of money they charge. First of all, upon arrival in September, the room was filthy. Disgusting, really. It was not cleaned at ALL. The bathroom was dirty and hair clogged the shower drain, there was crud all over the floor, old FOOD in the refrigerator, etc. This was a Friday evening. The situation was not resolved until they brought cleaners in Sunday evening, so we had to pay for 2 nights in a hotel and move in on Mo... read more

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the challenges Felix faced during his stay. While there seems to have been missteps, this is not a typical experience. We strive to take care of every student individually and ensure they feel comfortable in their environment. Our Senior VP of Student Life, Christy Chatfield will be reaching out to you personally to discuss the situation further. Thank you again for your time, and we look forward to connecting soon.
There's guest restrictions. You also have to swipe into the building lobby each time and sometimes the front desk people are so rude. AC doesn't function well over the summer (buy a fan).
Business response:
