Overall, EHS is a great place. I'm paying WAY less than anyone who actually lives in this area (Upper East Side), and my room is massive. The staff is super nice and this place is cleaned regularly. My residence at 97th street is great and it's two blocks from the subway. Can't complain here for what I'm getting as a college student.

The 1760 Third Avenue dorms are great. On the higher floors the view is amazing and the rooms are huge. The RAs and RDs are immensely helpful. At 10pm on a friday night I needed my windows fixed and I was helped immediately. The only issue as that because one of my roommates moved in early the floors weren't properly cleaned. Other than that the building is very clean, and I've yet to see any bugs.

EHS St. George and Weller Building have made my NYC experience so comfortable. Coming from out of town, knowing nothing about NYC, and not knowing anybody in NYC, I have felt welcome here since I moved in a year ago. This could be because the RA's plan events for residents to help them meet other people and go awesome places for cheaper rates (let's face it, money is a problem for many students in the city). The staff is great and I feel safe here (which was a big concern for my parents) because the door men actually do thei... read more

I stayed at the St George last Summer and it was a pretty good experience. I plan to return next fall if I get another internship. The facility is clean and considering you can book without having to go through the hassle of finding a NYC apartment is great. The gym is amazing (eastern athletic club) and its overall a safe and fun experience. Sure - you can find an apartment - but it's going to take tons of effort and you wont be living with hundreds of other students in similar situations. I am writing this review be... read more

So, I stayed at the Brooklyn Heights St. George/Clark residence for the 2010-2011 school year, and I have to say it's not as bad as they say. The website is a bit misleading, but not entirely. I was living there during all of the renovations so I saw how it changed in the span of that year. Let's get the cons out of the way first. -Yes, odd guest policy. Can be annoying. -Rooms can be hit and miss and there isn't a lot of consistency. -Laundry is a bit expensive, and the dryers can be murder on your clothes. - A LOT of mon... read more

I've been having a very pleasant experience with EHS, and disagree with some of the other reviews. I came to NYC for an internship over the summer (so my experience may be different than someone living here during the school year), and this was the most convenient short-term housing option I could find. I was a little nervous because the EHS website didn't show pictures of the rooms, and I read the other negative reviews listed here, but overall I'm happy with my decision. To start, the Brooklyn Heights area is very nice. T... read more

Nice sized rooms, great amenities, commercial kitchen, clean building. An million + dollar renovation has made this dorm one of the best (if not the best) dorms in NYC. You can't get any better than that pool, sauna and steam room in the gym. What other dorm offers that? Also, free cable, wifi and full sized fridge in the rooms!

This was my first semester in NYC and Baruch suggested I live with EHS. I had a great time living here this semester and am coming back for the spring. I made good friends right away, and I like that there are always events going on for us to do. I'm from Indiana so it was so helpful that all the furniture, tv, micro/fridge, etc came in the room and I didn't have to get a big moving truck and drive it here. I also really like the neighborhood. I know it sounds crazy to most New yorkers, but living in Brooklyn is a better fi... read more
