Today I visited your theater at 3 PM and had a wonderful customer service experience. Unfortunately that's not what this is about. I bought 20 tickets (220$) to see Star Wars, an entire row for myself and my closest friends and family, and in an annual tradition showed up at the Emagine Novi at 3 PM, had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings next door, and then sat in the theater assembling Star Wars Legos waiting for our 10:15 Showing in Auditorium Eight. If this is your first time at this theatre (in Novi) please note: The only public entrance is on the east side of the building facing a mall that is accessible only to pedestrians. There are "Emagine Theatre" sighs on the west and south side of the building (which might entice the unwary to expect a public entrance) but neither my wife or I saw a sign indicating that we needed to walk around the building for entry. Consessions are way too expensive and I’m not a fan of reserved seating
I do NOT like how you have to order tickets online in order to reserve a seat. If you just show up to buy tickets like you used to, there are either no seats left to pick because they are all reserved or there is only one seat here or there, so you can’t even sit with who you came with. On top of all that, because you buy them online you have to pay a service charge on top of the ticket price. What a rip off!! Tickets are expensive enough as it is.😡
I don’t like the new process for concessions. Patrons have to wait in 2 lines now...one to get popcorn and then again to pay for the food. I was there over the weekend, busiest weekend of the year with Thor and Bad Moms Christmas coming out and the line to pay for concessions was outrageous! Probably 20 people in line to pay with only 1 cashier. Customers were leaving their popcorn on the counter and leaving to go back to the movie. This was in the middle of the afternoon! I can only imagine how bad the line is at night!
