I absolutely love Embrace Pet Insurance. I am so glad that I got this pet insurance on my golden retriever as soon as I adopted him. I have been using the company for about a year now and have not had an issue. Every time I need their help they are there. I will keep them for the time being.
Wow, I'm shocked at the negative reviews. Are we talking about the same company here?? It kind of makes me wonder. My experience is exactly opposite of these negative complaints. They have covered all my claims very quickly. Submitting a claim is a breeze online. Every time I have called I get a person on the phone almost immediately without wait. They are extremely helpful. There is nothing at all for me to complain about.
My dog ****** had a deep subcutaneous cyst surgically removed on 5/13/25. Claims were submitted and acknowledged by Embrace on 6/11/25. On 6/13/25, both claims were denied with the explanation that Embrace could not rule out a cutaneous cyst, allegedly excluded under pre-existing conditions. On 6/17/25, I clarified that ******’s policy excluded only follicular cysts, not all cysts. I also submitted a letter from the attending surgeon confirming the mass was a deep subcutaneous cyst - not a follicular cyst. Without my asking ... read more
If you like being on hold so you can catch up on your reading, then Embrace is for you! Very, very lengthy hold time....they deny receiving details from the vet multiple times to where papers were being sent 2-3-4 times! They claim they sent a very small payment to me to an account I don't even have and they refuse to correct it! If I could give them zero stars I would! Absolutely horrible!!!!

I’ve been with Embrace for about seven years. Until now, I had no major issues and only filed a few small claims. This past year, my dog needed ACL surgery, an expensive but necessary procedure that Embrace covered. I appreciated that, but any goodwill I had evaporated when I received my renewal notice. My annual premium is jumping from about $1,300 to $2,500. That’s almost a 100% increase in a single year- for one dog! I have been on the phone for over three hours with them insisting my dog was seen by a vet that he has never been to. Three years ago. I gave them a complete medical history months ago. Keep saying they don’t have all information. It’s a scam and lie. They Won’t pay a simple emergency vet bill for upset tummy. Even tho I have given them over 5000 dollars thus far. It’s robbery. Today I cancelled my policy on all four of my dogs. I had turned in a claim that was immediately denied by Embrace Pet Insurance. My 11-year-old Golden Retriever developed a small sore on her cheek about a year and half ago. I took her to the vet, assuming she got caught in the rose bushes. Because there was mild swelling, my vet performed a needle biopsy and cytology right in the office.
