I absolutely love Embrace Pet Insurance. I am so glad that I got this pet insurance on my golden retriever as soon as I adopted him. He was healthy and happy until he developed epilepsy at the age of 3. Embrace has allowed our family to be at ease when it comes to spending money on my dog's treatment. I have been using the company for about a year now and have not had an issue. Every time I need their help they are there. I will keep them for the time being.
Wow, I'm shocked at the negative reviews. Are we talking about the same company here?? It kind of makes me wonder. My experience is exactly opposite of these negative complaints. They have covered all my claims very quickly. Submitting a claim is a breeze online. Every time I have called I get a person on the phone almost immediately without wait. They are extremely helpful. There is nothing at all for me to complain about.
I applied for this insurance for my senior pup over a year ago based on a family referral. However, the process has been more painful than helpful. To start, the plan cost me well over $240 per month just to make sure that my senior baby is covered if something happens. This pooch is in **** near perfect health for his age and his vet records have proven that, but recently we needed to file a claim due to a new lipoma that showed up. This company is terrible! They are refusing to cover my service dog because they claim she had a pre-existing condition. This condition was apparently treated prior to her becoming my service dog. I wasnt aware of any issues or any prior medical diagnoses. Embrace only had that vets records because I told them thats where she was seen prior to the organization transferring her to me. At first, Embrace seemed fine. They approved several claims for my cats GI issues, parasite treatment, suspected FIP, and even an ear infection. But once the claims became more complex, everything changed.Embrace began denying claims using shifting and contradictory explanations: They claimed a gastrointestinal coronavirus titer was related to a pre-adoption upper respiratory infection, even though my cat has not had a single sneeze or any *** symptoms since the day I adopted her. Embrace has become outrageously expensive with almost no real benefit. They raised my premium to $2,400 this yearnearly a $1,000 increase. Even after adjusting the plan, my annual premium is still $1,743, with a $1,000 deductible and 10% coinsurance. To even reach the maximum $5,000 reimbursement cap, my pet would need $6,555 in covered vet billsleaving me paying $3,298 out of pocket ($1,743 in premiums + $1,000 deductible + $555 in coinsurance).
