They denied my cat coverage for any dental issues since on our initial vet exam (we adopted her at 2 y/o) she presented with gingivitis, and NOTHING aside from gingivitis. We appealed this by having our vet send paperwork that stated the condition was cleared after a tooth cleaning and they still denied us coverage. They stated that it is considered a "preexisting condition" and she would never be covered for anything dental related for the rest of her life. Absolutely disgusted it with this company. I have paid every single month for both of my dogs for the last five years. Ive never filed a single claim. I recently called to verify my coverage and to find out if I could reduce my bill because of financial difficulty. At the beginning of the call she verified my address and found that it needed to be updated as soon as she updated my address she told me there was going to be a $50 a month increase to my bill just because of where I lived. This was great insurance up until a couple of years ago, when they were bought by ***. *** now own a preponderance of the various pet insurances available, so the concept of comparison shopping is a myth. It used to be easy to file claims. Now they reject me multiple times and request the same information multiple times before they pay. Their website is glitchy and their apps crashes if you try to review your claims on it. While the affordability is preferred, it's painfully sad you get what you pay for. Since going to the vet for various NON-PREEXISTING issues now that my corgi is classified senior, it has been headache, delay, and denial one after another. We hardly went to the vet for more than annual checks and claimed on our Wellness Benefit prior. I went to update our address for moving states, and my premiums were cut in half which was great. Stay away - they will find a hole in every attempt to claim anything. You think you are saving money but you are not. Save yourself time and look for something else - I switched from Nationwide ONLY because of cost, but they've been the best in everything. You get you what you paid for.

I gave them 2*'s because they finally did approve my claim. However, I have yet to receive the reimbursement for TWO claims, one over $1.5k, so we shall see if the money ever comes through. My complaint is, therefore, regarding their drag time to approve the claim. They told me several times it was due to lack of information from my veterinarian. WRONG! I have had Embrace Pet Insurance for a year and a half and I filed my first claim on February 2. I am still waiting for a final review and reimbursement.. My veterinarian has responded with every request from Embrace and yet they still keep asking for more and delaying the process. When you call customer service and ask specific questions, they cannot answer them. Thus far, I am extremely disappointed with Embrace.
