They told us about a package of 4-5 treatments a year, but we thought that was very excessive and opted for a more conservative and environmentally friendly approach. Not sure how helpful just one treatment was, as we needed a lot more weed control after their treatment.
We were very, very disappointed in the service we received. We were impressed with the sales rep, she was professional and seemed to be knowledgeable about the offered services and so we were surprised by how the services turned out. We have used Emerald Lawn care for lawn services since February, 2013. Our lawn had been damaged the previous summer due to a sprinkling system problem that resulted in the lawn not being watered for a month. Emerald gave us a quote for resodding a burned area and for regular lawn treatments. Although it turned out more prep work was needed for resodding than had been anticipated in their estimate, they honored their quoted price for the resodding work. They came and performed the service and left(everything went fine) The listed cost on AngiesList was 49.00 butIt cost 30.00 dollars extra because of the size difference in my lawn.
I purchased a big deal. I actually gifted it to my daughter, and she used it on her lawn. It was good. They of course said that they wanted to come every month, and so it was just like a one-time thing. We were kind of hoping that it was something that we would not do every month because she is young and does not have any money. First of all it was difficult to get someone, and actual person, to answer the phone, EVER. After leaving numerous messages, someone finally called back and told us they would come by and do an evaluation and the weed/feed treatment. They did come by and left an evaluation of the yard's condition and what they did. We decided to use their services for grub treatment and aeration. I did not notice any improvement in my lawn, tree's nor shrubs after their services. Plus they seriously tried to up-sell products and or services.
That was a waste of time and money. I didn't think they knew what they were doing. I asked them to plant some St. Augustine grass and they simply threw it on the ground and said water it for three weeks. I did that and it died by the end of the summer. The price was reasonable but the work for that price was rather poor. They tend to show up without warning, without calling ahead. I thought that that wasn't a very professional way of running a business.

The same day we planted your sod we also applied a layer of topsoil/compost to the entire lawn. We never put sod down without some sort of preparation unless it is unnecessary to do so.
