We brought my dog in for an emergency and while we were waiting in the lobby, my wife approached the desk to inquire about the wait time. When she reached the desk, she was faced with a woman who said in a stern, almost demeaning tone, “Do you *need* something?” Normally I would assume it was because of my wife’s race, but immediately afterwards, another person approached the same woman and her demeanor completely changed from how she acted with my wife, straight smiles and sunshine. Then when we get back into the room, we’r... read more

They did not follow my vets directions at all. He had a severe pancreatic attack and my vet suggested he go there for the weekend so he could be medicated and hydrated. He also had a week old neck injury. They put a leash around his neck and did not follow my vets instructions. I would never take an animal there again. Totally incompetent.

Not happy being forced to provide free labor by having to do the clerical data entry work of checking in on my phone. What a set up, they use their customers to provide free labor...and people so blind and comply.

Business response:

Madeline, it seems like you are talking about our ER Express check-in system. We apologize that you felt inconvenienced by the check-in process, and we hope we can answer some of your questions here. By providing your pet's information, current health status, and details about why you are bringing them to the ER, we are able to triage your pet more quickly, sometimes even before you arrive at the hospital. It also gives non-emergent pets the option to wait in the comfort of their home, until we text you that they are next in... read more

I was not allowed into the examination. They called me to briefly fill me in on the exam and the medicines they would send home with her, did an ultrasound but ultimately couldn't specifically point out something being wrong. I was charged $450 for the exam, ultrasound, and two medicines. I was given a visit summary and itemized receipt, got my dog back, and left. It wasn't until an hour after I had left that they emailed me a full exam detail, and listed an injury to her paw/nail essentially blaming her for not being cooper... read more

Business response:

Micheille, thank you for leaving us some feedback. We looked up your records in an effort to better understand the situation and answer some of your questions. Pet parents are not allowed in the back examination area, as it is a safety hazard to both our staff and the patients. At any given time, our techs may need to rush in a patient and perform life-saving duties. We need a safe and clear area, as every second counts. As for Buttercup's toenail, we can assure you that our team was not aggressive with your pet, it was simp... read more

I felt like all they were interested in was to try and see home much money they could get out of you. While I was waiting I watched two other potential customers leave the facility with their pet after they were told how much it was going to cost them. For my dog I was told they wanted to do six different test and it was going to be close to $1000 so they could get the big picture I told him that was ridiculous we ended up doing a few test only for about $315 of which $150 was the initial consultation which I don’t know what... read more

Business response:

Took them 4 hours from when I dropped off my dog, and even then I had to call myself to get an update! They had me repeat all the symptoms I already told them 4 hours ago, just to tell me they needed more bloodwork and x-rays. When I arrived I asked to speak to the technician, and she told me they looked at him about 2 hrs ago but haven’t had a chance to call me! Clearly not an emergency response from an emergency room. We understand that there are other pets with more critical conditions that come first, but within reason, ... read more

Business response:

Pedram, we know your time is valuable and can assure you we make every effort to see clients in a timely manner. As an emergency walk-in clinic we cannot always predict the wait-time. Emergency cases do take priority at times and do cause inevitable delays. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and are always open to feedback and suggestions.

We brought Abraham our 19 1/2 yr old Shih Tzu to have the staples removed that were put in two weeks earlier at your West location. Unfortunately, the skin didn't heal and he was in the same condition as when we brought him to the West location. The dermatoid mass tissue was all that was available and therefore nothing healed. We made the decision to completely remove the entire mass from the top of his back to the right side of his belly. Obviously the fear was his age and going under general. Surgery was done Monday even... read more

Business response:

Mike, thank you for the recommendation! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that Abraham's back is fixed!! It was our pleasure caring for him and we wish him (and you) nothing but the best! Don't hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions. Give Abe extra love from us!

As far as an employee stand point, treat your employees as human beings and not numbers. When problems are brought to management's attention, do something about it. Buying food is just a bandaid for a deeper wound. Being over worked, understaffed, and undercompensated are the reasons why majority of your staff is leaving the Plano location. Management is a complete and utter joke. Pete tells people no smoke breaks, yet, smokes two cigarettes an hour and has the audacity to attempt to remove chairs for staff because they sho... read more

Business response:

Alex, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the work environment. We hope that it brings you comfort to know that, in the year since you transitioned to a new career opp... read more

My cat has not been feeling well for a couple of days and my vet could not get him in. I went to the Emergency Vet. It turned out he has heart and renal failure. I was stunned and devastated. I cannot say enough bad things about my experience with the vet. She was ruthless to me and had the worst bedside manner. She recommended a $4,000 overnight treatment but it didn’t sounds promising, so she to euthanize him. I said I wanted to bring him home and find a service to come to the house. She yelled you are letting you... read more

Business response:

Amber, thank you for writing us some feedback. First and foremost, we want to offer our deepest condolences to you. We know all too well how difficult it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet and how heartbreaking a sudden loss can be. We hope you are able to find comfort in the precious memories of him. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your vet. We have read your records, spoken to our staff, and have forwarded this review to our leadership team. If you don't mind, our Hospital Operations Manager will be giving yo... read more
