I am not sure that I have ever given a 5 star review to anything before. I entered this rehabilitation hospital after my THIRD repeated hip operation within the past two years. Excellent nursing care plus a first-class physical rehab program to get you "on-your-feet." The previous places I did recovery were highlighted by a few good nurses and aides, but Healthsouth's staff were ALL superior! I was cared for as family--kindly and with true concern. I stayed here for in-patient acute rehab for some major injuries: 4 fractures in pelvis, several broken ribs, collapsed lung and spleen laceration. At first I thought to myself, "Meh... This place is for old people." The accommodations are like an extended stay Hospital - not super nice, but clean, tidy and they have everything you will need. I have occupational therapists working with me as well as physical therapists, nurses and a couple of doctors checking in on me. The staff here are all super personable and remembe... read more

My wife admitted me to Health south EV . I could'nt walk because of a broken pelvis and my shoulder was also broken. The nursing staff was mostly great, and pushed me to do my therapy. Their staff Dr's are marginal. Less then average. The PT and OC staff were great and pushed me to take the baby steps toward walking and enabling me to go home. If I didnt include the staff Dr's They would have received 5 stars.

Very nice place, they treated my Mom very well. the nurses are nice very friendly everyone had a smile. The cafeteria food I thought it would be all healthy and flavorless, but it was good and a mixture of healthy and unhealthy (to my surprise) the only BAD thing is that there was ANTS in the cafeteria on the tables this is for me the only issue! Hense the 4 stars otherwise It would be 5 stars

This place helped save my life. I spent 22 days in ICU after a car accident. Then 8 days on the hospital floor. After 30 days in bed on a liquid diet I could barely walk. I wanted to go home but I knew I couldn't. Health South was a great experience. They helped me get myself back together. I still wear the green band I earned after racing my walker in the hallway to earn permission to use the bathroom by myself. I've never met so many people who loved their jobs and genuinely cared about me, the client/patient.
