I stayed here for a month (Nov-Dec 2012) following emergency spinal surgery at Brackenridge. I had been slowly becoming paralyzed from the waist down but having the most severe pain at the same time. Avoid at all cost! Inpatient staff had no idea what was going on and case manager was clueless and condescending. All case manager could do was tell us how bad off my grandmother was but could not tell me what therapy she had or how she was doing with therapy. Took some high level phone calls to finally get things done. Very scary place!

This is my edited review of 1st experience with them in which I gave them a higher rating at that time before we learning what we know now about my Dad's care there. Under new management HealthSouth now for 2nd visit and not good at all....but that is not all... now after he ended up back at a new hospital from there given a turn for the worse - learning actions or inactions during his 1st stint there over 6 months ago have caused a lot of his ongoing problems resulting in being in and out of hospitals afterwards - at times... read more

I arrived at Reliant Rehabilitation Hospital on 08/19/2015 and was a transfer from Seton Williamson Hospital after a failed back surgery, which caused loss of movement in the left leg not to mention agony of the actual back surgery itself (nerve pain is by far the worst pain I have ever felt and feel every single day). 10 minutes after I arrived at Reliant Rehabilitation Hospital I was left in the room alone for about 30 minutes until finally a certificated nursing assistant came in to get my vitals and speak to me about ... read more

BEWARE OF INPATIENT DIRECT CARE STAFF. My mom was released today after 12 days and after two hours at home she was rushed to the ER with severe dehydration. The out patient rehab staff is good. But BEWARE of inpatient staff!!!
