We live in *********, ****, and in May of 2022, we were notified that our current electric carrier AES would more than double the rate of our electric supply effective June 1 of 2022. I would give O stars if I could! This company is a SCAM! they **** you rate up the first chance they get, and they don't notify you. There's no account to reference, and no terms and conditions to reference - since they don't supply any of the billing info to their customers. I called and the Manager, ***** was condescending and rude to me and told me I have to pay and there's NOTHING he can do for me. Huge to off. They lie about rates charge you a $200 distribution fee on top of your **** for "clean energy". They got me for at very least $1000. Just go with AEP they are more reputable and have integrity when they explain thing. I pray they go bankrupt for their karma.

I never knew we were switched from First Energy to Energy Harbor. Didn't really notice a billing change until January when our **** doubled. Our winter bills do get over $400 but this winter our **** was $700. Supposedly they sent us a letter with the new rates and we had to opt out if we didn't want to pay this new price. Why would I not opt out if my cost per kilowatt was going up 4 cents per kilowatt? I have never seen any electric company charge 9.4 cents per kilowatt. I have been trying to quit this service ; or SCAM for 17 days now. When I call the number they tell me I need to email, because I am a commercial account. I have emailed 10 plus times. The only response I get it that they are open from the hours of 8:30 to 5pm each time I am within this window. My lawyer is now assisting me with my next steps.
