Pleasant experience but expected great for the cost The hotel was clean and well maintained overall. There wasn't really a hotel staff but rather just one person who worked at the front desk and then the housekeeping staff during the day shift. The price was extremely high for what we got, but I guess that's to be expected when visiting Austin during SXSW week. We stayed at the downtown location of this same chain as well and preferred our experience there much more than at this arboretum location.
Good option if you have a car Stayed here for the major annual conference downtown. This was a good option that was way cheaper than any of the downtown hotels. Of course, much of that saved money went to a rental car, but having that mobility around town (and free parking at this hotel) was great. The place has excellent freeway access and the trip to/from downtown takes about 20 minutes in light traffic (or double that in really heavy traffic). Good location, good value Great location. Hotel is a bit dated, but a good value for the price.
So so No ice machine, no wake up call, on a busy street, everything else was good. I would stay there again but would be better to be closer to downtown.
Good place, great to have a kitchen Not a fancy place, but definitely meets your everyday needs, with convenient location for work (if your business is around that area).

Good place for a short stay I went to Austin for a 3-day conference. The rooms are clean, and everything is ready for use. The front desk is helpful and patient. If they can provide some shampoo I'll be more preciate for that. It's quiet around, making it a good place to take a rest. But you have to walk a distance for more restaurants and supermarkets. They provide free take-and-go breakfast, just some coffee, cocoa, oranges, muffins and chocolate bars etc., simple but enough for me. The wireless access is fast for surfing ... read more
