This was an older hotel, which was evidenced by the furniture/cabinetry in the rooms, the hallways/stairs, carpet, etc. The 2star rating is appropriate. However, the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and bedding/linens reasonably updated. The 42" LG flat screen TV in the room was a very pleasant surprise! Nice location , close to restaurants .Very nice place, would stay there again, really didn't stay long enough to try the pool but it looked very nice, maybe next time, really was glad that we could bring our pet he seem to like it to, and all the people and staff were very nice, enjoyed our stay..

pleasant staff Staff was very pleasant to work with. Quick to get anything that was missing from room when we arrived. Carpet was dirty. Television didn't work well and staff was willing to move us to a different room.

Smelled like smoke I arrived 45 minutes before the 3pm check-in time but no rooms were available for check-in. I returned over two hours later and still, no rooms were available for immediate check-in. I had to wait in the lobby for another half-hour for my room (5:30pm). The hallways and stairwells all wreaked of cigarette smoke although the room did not have any unpleasant odor. Non-smoking room I have requested a non-smoking room. When I checked in I was given a smoking room that was very smelly. I had to fight with the front desk women and demand non-smoking room. Thank goodness I had booked through Expedia since I believe that is why she eventually did give me a non-smoking room

Needs repair but I liked it Close to many businesses. Weekend price was nice. Staff are very friendly. The "stand up" breakfast was not worth the standing. Beds are comfortable, AC works well, room is clean. Many simple things need repair: Chain for the door did not have the mating part allowing it to hold the door, on interior door there was a splintered hole where once was hardware. Despite the poor maintenance I recommend this place.
