You get what you pay for The Extended Stay America near Old Town was the least expensive hotel room we could find at peak season. It was sort-of like a Motel 6 with a retro-fitted kitchenette (very small). Everything was a-la-cart pricing including dishes, glasses, etc. We also found out that it was an extra $10 to clean our room. Ehh Very disappointed. Location is excellent but the room was very dirty (pet hair on the curtains, tons of old dust) and our air conditioning unit didn't work.

I don't recommend this place. Hotel was in very sad condition,no housekeeping services, staff was rude, complained about other guests with profanity. Carpet was dirty, air conditioning unit was loud and kept us awake and in spite of having a mini kitchen, we did not have a single glass in the unit. Kitchen was not stocked with anything, not even utinsils. Fridge barely kept our water cold. I was over sold by the hotel.com rep on this place

First time I stayed at this chain​. Not impressed. Staff was friendly. Housekeeping is extra. Asked for one day but housekeeping never showed. Thought had breakfast but was only coffee, packaged muffins and granola bars. Way over priced for service not included. Only plus was walking access to Old Town Scottsdale.

Very disappointed There was no smoke detector; it had been removed. We notified staff and were told it would be replaced, but it wasn't. There was no fire extinguisher in kitchen area. The HVAC unit cover and dial cover were off. There were no hangers or hooks in the closet. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee and a prepackaged muffin. Underwhelming. The location is excellent but I was expecting more for $200 a night.

They put me in a smoking room-need I say more? Air conditioner very noisy so when turned off, room got extremely hot and smelled of smoke

Disappointing The room was really close to Old Town and within walking distance to Scottsdale Stadium. That's where the pros ended. They don't clean the rooms everyday. You can "schedule" yourself for housekeeping for a fee. Who charges for housekeeping? When we did schedule ourselves, they never came TWICE!! They asked us not to use the bathroom during the morning since they were doing some plumbing work, without any prior notice. Even though we had a non smoking room, it still smelled like cigarettes.
