Nice, but has some issues to correct We booked based on the fact that it boasted a renovated appearance & the photos looked great. Yes, the hotel was in a good area that is still close to all that San Diego has to offer, however, there were several issues. First, we booked (and prepaid) a King Studio through Hotels.com. Newly furnished, nice rooms. Very nice.
I got a good rate because i booked a smoking room. Other than the awful smell (what do you expect from a smoking room) the stay was very nice. I would definitely stay again, but only if I got a non-smoking room.

Amenities were very dirty. There was hair everywhere

room was very dirty. when I got there past 8pm the room looks like someone just slept there and left. cats hair all over the bed and under the bed. the sheets weren't even clean. i just slept after a 23hr (3 overseas flights). and then left the hotel even though I paid for 4 nights. I just returned the key after 4 days. terrible experience.

I booked the room last minute around 11:30pm and when I got to the hotel at 1am the front desk woman told me she could t check me in until 3am because of company policy… although I had already paid for that night, I explained to her that I was tired and we could check me in in the morning but she could still let me in to my room… finally after 30 min of pushing she finally caved and let me into my room… what a stupid policy to have, such a lack of consideration for guests checking in late and no explanation or notice of that... read more
