I booked in advance, but when we arrived, only "smoking" rooms were available. I had to cancel.

Our rooms were cancelled the day before we checked Hotel called late morning before we were to check in and cancelled our rooms due to overbooking. I'm not sure whose fault it was but very disappointing

Although the room appeared to have been cleaned well, the smell of smoke in our room and on our floor was overwhelming. I was not told the room would be a smoking room at the time of booking. I didn't find this out until check in. The gentleman who checked me in was very polite and courteous, but said he was unable to give us a refund or discount on the room, even though it did not meet our expectations. However, we did not even stay in the hotel room overnight due to the smell of cigarette smoke.

Avoid at all costs. This place is a ripoff Well, it took 10min to even get someone to come to the desk to check me in (10:35pm on a Friday). Got up to my room and I have visited many college dormitories with better accommodations. The room was sparse and cheaply built to say the least. The entire stay room wreaked, the smell best described as a mix of stale smoke and body odor. The hotel offers no on site security and prohibits licensed firearm carriers from staying there. Learn from my mistake When we arrived it looked ok! I was seduced by the fact it was by the stadium. The room they gave us was a smoking room. I ordered this at 10am to not have a smoking room. We came back from the BB game to see police in the parking lot. It was not there first time to this facility. This will be my last time staying at a Woodsprings Suites.

WARNING TO TRAVELERS! This Hotel OVERBOOKS! Reservation was made over 60 days in advance. Reservation was confirmed just after booking, and before traveling to this destintion. Upon arival learned that this hotel has overbook its capacity, and could not honor its reservation. This is not a reliable place / chain to book your stays with. They left me in a bind to find emergency accomidation (for my family) without prior notice after a hard day's travel and vacationing. Flophouse No staff after 10 pm to address problems. Close to stadiums but area is sketchy. One night was to much for this overpriced flophouSE.

Reeked of cigarette smoke We arrived in Kansas City early and called to see if we could check-in early and the male that answered the phone said he wouldn't have a room available until 2:00 P.M. Normal check-in was 3:00 P.M.. We arrived at the hotel right at 2:00 P.M. and checked in, in the VERY small lobby. When we entered the hallway, elevator, and our room, they ALL reeked of cigarette smoke. (We had asked for a non-smoking room. That room had someone smoking in it very recently.) Poor Poor in all aspects the building look good from outward. Everything else was horrible. So much noise. Bed was may be 3 feet by 6ft.
