Very poorly managed hotel, not clean, old, no shampoo, smoking smell in the non-smoking room

It does not look anything like the pictures and there was nobody's to ✔️ in at the front desk. We had to call the person working and wait because it was after 10pm. However the staff there was amazing and helpful once they came out. When we got to the room the bed was made but there was dirt and hair all over the fitted sheet when we pulled back the cover and the bathroom needed scrubbed and sanitized.

Probably what I should have expected for the cost, but still not somewhere I will go back to or suggest others stay at.

My understanding is that one person runs the place from what was shared with me, so I can see that being overwhelming. I’ve traveled a lot though and this is the first hotel that I’ve stayed in that didn’t have toiletries or a blanket provided.

I hadn’t even gotten into the hotel, there was big dogs everywhere, poop, people living there, no receptionist to let me in.
