Hotel elevator malfunctioned The elevator door would not open. I was stuck in the elevator for nearly 30 minutes at 4:30 early morning and nearly missed my flight. Maintenance and up-keep need improvement.

Simple but not comfortable The bed was very unconfortable and caused me back pain. Overall, the room overall is not appealing.

The worst hotel experience I made reservations month prior to my trip. When I arrived to the hotel I didn't get what I paid for. I paid for a smoking room and they didn't have one available but it was confirmed when I booked the room. The room I got was not my choice. To top it off, the room didn't look clean. It had rusty stains and odor. The worst part I couldn't get a refund. I wasted a lot of money. Never again.

The worst Extended Stay ever! First off, I'd like to say that I am a fan of the Extended Stay brand. Whenever I am traveling on a budget, they are always my first choice. This is the first time I've wanted my money back to go to another hotel. I went to Newport News to visit family and make preparations for an upcoming wedding. Sticky carpet The room was non smoking but reaked of ciggerettes, the carpet was sticky.

Disappointment I chose this hotel since it was closest to the trauma course I was taking at riverside regional hospital. Upon walking into our non-smoking room, we were hit with the stench of smoke so bad we had to get spray to attempt to mask the smell. The room was listed as having utensils and a kitchen to cook in.. Although the stove did not work and we had to ask for utensils which were thrown at us over the counter in a bucket. Staff was unwelcoming. Not somewhere I'll ever stay again.

Bring your own wash cloths and towels This was an ok hotel, but we were told by staff to give them our wash cloths and towels and they would put fresh ones in our room. NOT TRUE. We went to the beach expecting to come back to take a nice shower and they would not give us any towels or cloths. We were told we had to wait until morning to get towels and cloths.
