Homestead, Washington, DC- Alexandria I was not thrilled with this hotel. It just seemed odd. First of all there is a senior facility in the building. Second, there is not any business center or a computer for access. I found the service, having to pay for a clean up, would be good if you are on vacation, but not for a business trip. Homestead Washington DC-Alexandria Our hotel clerk on check-in went out of his way to make sure that our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. He gave us easy to follow directions to find our way around the area, and to have the hotel provide complimentary metro tickets was a gracious, and much appreciated touch! The kitchen amenities and supplies made us feel at home. We will recommend this hotel to all of our friends and families.
Good place Although I was only in town for the night, I found that staying here completed the needs for me. I have no complaints.
The shower head was terrible. It barely put out water. The refrigerator made loud noise that kept me up at night.

Very dirty and loud. Door wouldn’t lock. Bathroom faucets leaked everywhere.

It was terrible. Nothing was what was expected. Ran down, dirty, noisy…. And so on.

A key criterion for choosing my hotel in D.C. was that it provide breakfast. Extended Stay claimed to do so. What was provided does not meet a reasonable standard for "breakfast." There was coffee, hot water, five very little and unappealing muffins, and some packets of plain raw oatmeal. One could add hot water to the oatmeal, as I did, and use a plastic spoon that I had brought along in my bags, to dine on hot wet oatmeal flakes, better than nothing, but it was not really breakfast. Between the metro train going by every 15 minutes or the freight trains that went by three times during the night, there was very little chance to sleep. On top of that there was a party going on in the back parking lot out of a camper van that was playing vulgar music at a high decibel level. Ironically, it did not drown out the person in the hallway, talking on the phone until 2 o’clock in the morning given these things that occurred, and management, inability, or lack of drive to correct these things I would not recommend... read more
