I've spent thousands of dollars replacing/repairing things that should be covered, but apparently are not. Home warranties are worthless.
They are alway on times and they never leave a mess. The last time they came out the problem had gone away so they didn't charge me for the call.
I had to use them one time, my A/C unit was malfunctioning, so I called in and they called the tech to come out and take care of it. After doing the math, I realized it would've been cheaper for me to call an air-conditioner company and do it myself. I had to pay additional money for them to add Freon.
I'm not happy with their service at all. My refrigerator wasn't keeping cool, so I called them. The man that came out said that he needed to replace a part, which he went and reported to Landmark. They denied it and said that the fridge needed to go out completely before they replaced it. It took 3 days for that man to come out to our house and my food went out in that time. I would never recommend it to anybody.
Customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. They were not available when they said they would be and I never felt like I had good support. I called one Sunday when we had our air conditioning unit go out. According to the website they said they're available 24/7 so I called them in the evening. It went from ringing, to a recording, back to a ring, to another recording, and then back to a ring. It took 17 minutes and no one ever answered and eventually it hung up. Too much of long hold times and miscommunicated product!
They got someone out within a couple of days the only time I've had an issue. I just requested the service, they gave me a provider, I call the provider, and the provider showed up at the designated time.
Just recently, our air conditioner wasn't working, and we had to pay $60 for them to come out. That was okay, but it turned out that they didn't have any Freon with them, and they don't for a recharge. So, the service is pretty much useless, unless something completely fails. Besides that, their customer service is great! I'm just not very pleased with what they cover.
My experience with customer support was not good. I had to use my warranty, paid the $65, and they had an appliance guy come in and check the unit. He looked at it, left, and submitted his report to Landmark. They wanted me to pay again to have him come back and do it all over again because they were not satisfied with the information he gave them. They did give me a fair settlement though.
