5pm on a Saturday, I thought would be relatively quiet for a group dinner. Boy was I wrong. It was packed and the waitress had to literally shout for us to hear her. But the food is yummy and reasonably priced for an all-you-can-eat place. I've eaten at Fire and Ice in Cambridge and still wish there was a solution for accidental mixing of grill items during cooking. I'm a vegetarian: they slap someone else's beef burger on the grill, shape it with spatulas, push it toward the center of the grill, and then pour my vegetables ... read more
They need to allow you to take your left overs home if it was only your first time up and you have half your plate left. It's not worth $18
Food is extremely over cooked as the "chefs" are yapping nonsense among each other and not engaging the crowd. The food gets chopped into a million little pieces, pressed down with a spatula until burnt and hard, burgers get cut open to check done-ness ( a good chef would pay attention and never cut a piece of meat open ... All the juice come out), noodles become hard from searing on the grill. Wayyyyy overpriced for the quality. Kept running out of meats. I like going there for Brunch. However NY eve was way too crowded. Our service was terrible, we were in the restaurant for over 2 hrs. We saw our waitress once, and she didn't even give us silverware, we had to flag someone else down once we had our food.
Extremely crowded. Waited in line 30 min for space at grill. Food was then overcooked as they had so many dishes on the grill they couldn't keep track of them all. Waiters were difficult to find. Novel idea just poorly executed.
This used to be way better when in Cambridge. Now it is old, dingy and unattractive. Food is ok, the idea is great, but if not taking grandchildren... Forget it
Having to come there for a Bachlorette party and deal with the attitude of the assistant manager was beyond what I expected. I love fire and Ice and I used to recommend this place to everyone. I work at a club and the disrespect was terrible. I came with a party of seven and the assistant manager stated that I only had six with me. She told us she cant put us in a round booth because we didnt have seven people. Im a little confused because her attitude was beyond rude. what's the point of booking a reservation? when i got there, there were no tables ready and then when there was one available, we were moved by our server to accommodate a different party. it was very embarrassing due to the fact that I was taking someone out on a date for the first time. I don't think I'd recommend Fire and Ice to a friend.
We made a reservation, and Fire and Ice called to confirm, but after that it was all down hill from there. We arrived early but were not seated for over 45 minutes. The hostesses were very rude and condescending and definitely should have have been working the front of the restaurant. I am shocked the managers put them there because they lacked basic customer service skills. When we asked why we weren't being seated, they yelled at us and were very unpleasant.
