I called for help and they were too busy. They have been the only one we have every used until now. In this house hold we have two older ladys with stage 4 terminal cancer and a 82 year old lady with a fractured back. Its 96 deg. out side and hotter inside. and your too busy.
This was the worst experience I ever had having a furnace replaced. They hooked it up wrong so that my heater and air conditioner were both working at the same time (this was in July, 2013 when it was really hot). I called and complained. They came out and said they thought the thermostat was set up wrong so he adjusted it. That didn't help. I was still roasting in my house no matter how low I turned the AC. So I called them again. It took the tech several hours to figure out the problem; but he did finally get it fix... read more
First Call is getting 2 stars because if they didn't have the lowest price, they'd get 1 star. This is my first Winter in a house that has oil heat. When I called FC, I asked if they could measure how much oil I had left since I didn't know what my average use for a Winter was yet. They said it was no problem. I scheduled a delivery for today in the morning. I asked if they knew what time because I work nights and wanted to make sure I was up for the delivery. They asked about an afternoon delivery and I said I'd rathe... read more
We had a furnace installed 8 years ago that we purchased from Tri County Temp Control. We recently noticed moisture at the base of the furnace. Come to find out whoever installed it had it drain directly under the house, so now we have moisture, mold and god know what down there. Now, we have to have the furnace completely removed and reinstalled properly with the drainage going outside. It will cost us about $2,000 to get this fixed. The new furnace repair guys said that whoever put that furnace in did a real crummy job. Go... read more
Good sales man without the support staff to back him up. Everything sounded good when we got the bid. We were assured that First Calls install guys were top notch. When the city came out to inspect the job, they had nothing but bad things to say. Overall I have had to make multiple calls to get inspections arranged and feel like I'm constantly forgotten about now that they have my money. There was minor damage done to my property during the install and they were late every time. I wish I could have a redo on this choice.
Stay away or stay on top of them, Sorry to say I allowed these guys abuse us for years. They've consistently billed us for filling a 350 gallon tank of fuel 2x a year. I stopped using them. Now i found out my tank is onyy 250 gallons max. and i got by with only one refill last year. STAY AWAY!
If I could enter negative stars I would - I have been both a customer and an employee of First Call. They are horrible people and their business is run horribly. I had to call them repeatedly to come fix my furnace, which they did, but it only lasted temporarily and I was charged to the max. I finally got frustrated and asked to talk to Rhonda, the rude, clueless, uneducated manager who then told me that I had been told in 1996 that I needed a new furnace and that the one that was currently in my home was basically shot. Gee... read more
when I bought my house 10 years ago, first call was the company who had been servicing the furnace. now after 10 years, I found out that this company was not properly servicing the furnace, I was on a regular schedule of furnace maintenance. I was charged the money and no cleaning of my furnace was done... ever! i was ripped off. i now am converting to gas with another company, RUN don't walk away from this company!
I used Tri County Temp Control in Oct. 2013. I had to wait for a few days to be on the schedule. They installed a new part to the tune of $600+, with guarantee. I Feb 2014 my furnace again broke down on a Friday night. I called Tri County early Sat morning. They said they were busy but would come out between 12pm and 5pm that day, but I would have to pay overtime of $148 not including parts, etc. OK I said. I waited all day, nothing. I call at 5pm, they said they were not coming out and that I would get a call on Monday to ... read more
