Went to 54th in independence on the 17th with several other family members and noticed the waitresses weren't very pleasant with our party which was about 18 people. After ordering a drink the waitress asked for ID. I took it out of my wallet and showed her when she said ok I put it back in my wallet. She then said I didn't see your ID can you show it to me so for the second time I took it out and showed her once again. Had a great waitress, she was on q and had a real personality, left her a Rat Fink drawing!
After having an amazing experience last week at 54th Street in Blue Springs we decided to head up the independence location. We ordered a couple glasses of wine and our meals. All I really wanted was a baked potato platter but they were out of baked potatoes. So I just got a salad. Now this place is already horrible for vegans, especially vegans who are health conscious. The first time it was ok but this time was horrible the service...My husband ordered salmon with baked potato he asked for butter the guy brought honey butter ok so simple mistake he also asked for refills at the same time so we asked to see the manager he offered to give him another potato we said no we were done bc he still hadn't received the beer or my tea so $45 later I'm still not happy I was so mad I didn't finish my pasta with burnt bread
Terrible. We waited over an hour to be seated after being told 25 minutes, and approximately 15 other parties came in and got seated. We were not a large party by any means. Ended up leaving with 2 fussy children because the wait was so long.
We had the worst experience last night. It was a busy Saturday night and we had a large group and expected to wait. We were told 30 minutes. Our wait was well over an hour. A large party left and the table turned over and we still waited. When we inquired about the large empty table the hostess said they were waiting in the wait staff. Two were chatting at one empty table and 4 were chatting and giggling at anither empty table.
