Worst rental car service I have ever used. We received our rental car confirmation, which indicated that the ****** office closed at 1 AM. Our flight to ****** was delayed by 20 minutes, which meant we would be arriving around 12:30 AM, so I called Fox to let them know. During that call, I was informed that the call-center would pass along the message, but there is no way for a customer to contact the local office. Fox Rent A Car is the absolute worse rental car agency in any rental I have had. I rented a ****** 4 Runner a month before our trip and paid in full. Once we arrived at the airport *************) we waited for a shuttle for over one hour and after calling twice and still no shuttle, we took a taxi to the rental car location. I can't give any star rating for this company. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental company. When I inspected the car to drive it off the lot, it was completely covered with damage and smelled like cat pee inside, I let them know about this and I was offered a different car, but I expected a decent running car and I decided to use that car because I did get a cheap price, not worth it though if you can't use the car and have to go through all this aggravation. We made the reservation yesterday online with Priceline.We thought we were booking with Europcar and then discovered it was a Fox rental.We took the shuttle which is already painful and arrived onsite where we waited online for one hour.At the desk the lady asks for my name and then states well you are going to have to wait before you can get the car. Unethical business practices and gross misrepresentation of information to get customers to upgrade!!! **************** is poor in resolving unethical charges.
the car had ****** miles on it. The seats were stained and there were multiple scratches all over it. Drove 42 miles to destination. When I went to use the vehicle on they day I needed it, the front bumper liner had fallen down and I could not back out of the parking space because of the cement block. When I looked at my video I took before I left the lot, it shows the bumper and quarter panel were not attached (but I didn't notice it because you really couldn't tell anything was wrong unless you were looking for it). Do not even think about using this company!!! This company is unbelievable! They do not stand behind their cancellation insurance which supposedly allows you to cancel "for any reason". I booked a reservation and pre-paid for it and also bought cancellation insurance. I phoned them several times trying to cancel and THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO CANCEL THE RESERVATION! Unbelievable! Fox rental car company is a scam. Do not rent from tbis company. They advertise much lower rates then other car companies but tack on ridiculous fees once you pick up vehicle. Also, they continue fraudulent charges on your credit card after you rent and won't do anything about it. I rented a vehicle 3 months ago and just got a charge for 80$ from them for no reason. When i called customer service they demanded my bank statement and then hung up on me. This company is criminal. I'm not sure how they are still in business.
