The staff at Garden State Loans were amazing! They were recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be happier with the level of service I received from this company. First I should mention that I had spoken to 3 other companies whose rates were nowhere near as good as what I ultimately received; at least a percentage point better. I shopped my refinance and narrowed my choices down by comparing rates and asking the same questions of all the providers. Justin delivered. I've refinanced and purchased in the past, and this was the first time where when we got to closing or the GFE that there were no surprises. His team worked efficiently with a fast close. Being that this was my smoothest, happiest, easy closing, I would recommend using GSL. Hey, he did save me over $300,000 by moving to a 15 year conventional at 3.0%. Even the person I used to close with couldn't believe how great GSL was at getting me such a low rate. Use them now, rates can't stay this low forever!

I had been attempting to refinance for five years as I had an okay rate on my first mortgage (5.625% 30-year fixed on $255k) but an absolutely terrible second mortgage (6.875% 40-year fixed! for 170k). Because of the housing collapse many of the homes in my area either foreclosed or were involved in short sales which effectively brought down existing home sale prices. GardenState went well beyond our expectations in every way and I VERY highly recommend them to anyone. We actually started with another mortgage lender which turned out to be really bad. Finished closing of my refinanced mortgage on Saturday. What a pleasure it was to work with a notary who took time to explain the process, various forms and the context of why they are needed.
