I recently purchased a second policy. I did it because of my experience with the first policy. They were not my least expensive option, but I wanted them at the slightly higher cost because they treated me fairly on each claim filed with them on the first policy.
I purchased this warranty on October 16th 2018 @ The Ford dealership in Paramus and I’m just hearing from you guys
GWC covered the repairs necessary on my vehicle.
Lol...didn't get repairs done due to no communication on dealership and GWC.
Like any warranty company I was quite pessimistic at first about what the outcome of my repair would be. Perhaps it was the dreadful feeling about something being denied coverage and having to fork up an entire repair cost. Even the shop that I brought my truck to was honest and upfront with me about warranties and what the reality mostly is when dealing with them. I had to have an air conditioner repaired, in my opinion you should have covered more of the repair, my part was 40% of the total cost. Having to pay 40% is not a worry free warranty considering the cost of the warranty.
I was never contacted at all by GWC to go over my claim, what the dollar amount to be covered was and now after the fact I can't find any way to review what was paid, covered, not covered and why. Nor was I ever contacted by GWC during a recent long post-surgical convalescence to tell me that we were late for a payment nor to tell me that they were cancelling my contract. They will NOT refund anything if you trade vehicle even if you never filed a claim! RIP OFF, BEWARE!
The total bill was 1700.00. The warranty only covered 400.00 before the deductible. The warranty company wanted the repair shop to use used second rate parts with no or very limited warranty to fix my air conditioner air compressor and related issues. The repair shop refused to do this. At the very least the warranty company could have recommended a company in my area that the have already worked with and who might be able to get the cost in line with the coverage.
