This is the BEST animal hospital in MA. I have been a dog owner for most of my life, and have been to many different animal hospitals in Illinois and Massachusetts. The staff here is SUPERIOR. Every attention is given to pet AND owner. I have never met such professional and caring staff - from the techs to the docs. I've been bringing my 2 ragdolls here since they were baby kittens. I wanted a special place for my special babies and I got what I wanted. This place is very high end and very clean. It is never crowded and there is easy parking. They keep excellent records and my favorite vet always remembers my kittens and how they were doing the last time I brought them in. The best care around in the New England Area if you want the best for your pet. Run by Dr. Shepard, she is wonderful as well as Dr. Gills and Dr. Kennedy. Dr. Shepard runs a great hospital where you feel instantly comfortable because of the staff, the general feeling is that everyone working there cares just as much about your pet as you do! This place is great. Everyone, from the front desk to the technicians to the vets, is so friendly and takes an active interest in our two cats. They dote over them more than we do! Dr. Kennedy is also great--he's the only vet we've seen. He's very friendly, knowledgeable and comfortable to be around both for us and the cats. You are not going to find a better animal hospital!!! The doctors are beyond amazing, especially Dr. Giles. He is the most caring vet around. He cares just as much about the owner as he does the animals. I trust him completely with my dogs who are like children to me. I trust any of the doctors there but I have dealt primarily with Dr. Giles. The office staff are amazing and so helpful. They bend over backwards for you and your pet. Client at Highland for 15 years with 4 different dogs. Learned this morning when I called to get an appointment for my ill senior dog (who has only ever gone there) to go to urgent care. That they have shifted to being a "wellness service" veterinarian and "can't see every ill animal" with same day appts as they don't keep space in the calendar. No interest in the situation. I am a longtime customer but Just went to the website to look up something else and saw that a 10 percent senior discount is available for veterinary services. My spouse and I are in our late 60s and believe me look it. NOT ONCE has anyone thought mention this discount to us, even after we have expressed shock at the bill for even the most rudimentary visits. Considering how much these costs have increased in the last few years, it would have been helpful to say the least.

I just moved to the Newton/Needham area and have been searching for a boarding facility that will take my dog and cat when I need to travel.
