The best care around in the New England Area if you want the best for your pet. Run by Dr. Shepard, she is wonderful as well as Dr. Gills and Dr. Kennedy. Dr. Shepard runs a great hospital where you feel instantly comfortable because of the staff, the general feeling is that everyone working there cares just as much about your pet as you do! This place is great. Everyone, from the front desk to the technicians to the vets, is so friendly and takes an active interest in our two cats. They dote over them more than we do! Dr. Kennedy is also great--he's the only vet we've seen. He's very friendly, knowledgeable and comfortable to be around both for us and the cats. The one issue I have ever had is when they guilt tripped us about not brushing our cats' teeth every day. then charged us $14 for a toothbrush and toothpaste. You are not going to find a better animal hospital!!! The doctors are beyond amazing, especially Dr. Giles. He is the most caring vet around. He cares just as much about the owner as he does the animals. I trust him completely with my dogs who are like children to me. I trust any of the doctors there but I have dealt primarily with Dr. Giles. The office staff are amazing and so helpful. They bend over backwards for you and your pet. I just moved to the Newton/Needham area and have been searching for a boarding facility that will take my dog and cat when I need to travel. Every time I come I wait over 30 minutes past my appointment. Not once have they been on time in the last year. The employees are lovely and the Vets knowledgeable but the wait time is unacceptable and unprofessional.

This review is for the front desk, not the vets. My dog got cut by his groomers and i wanted to put a cone on him so he doesn't lick his wound and make it worse. I know they sell them here since i bought one from here when he got neutered. Michelle answered the phone and i asked if they had cones. She asked me about 5-7 questions about my dog (here i am thinking why the heck does she need to know all of this before telling me yes or no) anyways. We've been clients for six years and had an urgent care situation with our dog and they refused to slot us in. The receptionist was rude and aggressive (another review below also talks about Michele's bad attitude). She offer no constructive alternative. Other local vets would not see our dog since he is not their patient. We ended up having to go to an emergency vet hospital and had to pay three times what it should have cost. I just called to get information about getting a microchip for my dog, and was "helped" by an associate called Michelle. She informed in a very rude tone that the they were booked until October, and even after I explained my case to her (we just moved in from out our the country and we're looking for advice on a few things), she didn't seem to care.
