No set up instructions in box :( Print quality seems fine. I’ll know more after I’ve had it for a while. Had to look for set up instructions online :(

Printer does not work :( I bought this printer with the recommended ink and it does not work. I've had three technicians look at it. It does not function. The brother computer does not recognize the toner. So frustrating.

It does NOT print duplex automatically The real reason I bought it, I wanted a nice duplex color lazer. I spent all this $$ on it which is not wasted, and more accurately either my time or trees will now also be wasted.

Don’t buy this! This printer literally worked for one month. It never prints anything sent to it.

Stopped working after 18 months After 18 months it suddenly stopped recognizing the toner. I was getting the "No Toner" error message. I followed all the steps from the Brother website, I was on the phone with Brother tech support and followed all their steps. Nothing worked, and there is absolutely no way to by-pass the error. In the end I'm out of luck because we're just past the warranty period. I paid $215.00 expecting to use this for a long time. So much for that. Don't buy this machine.

Unable to set color correctly The color is off and we tried everything we could find via Brother's (not too friendly) site to correct and it still prints with the colors completely off.

CHEAP MADE IT USE ALOT OF INK . IT LAST ABOUT A YEAR. TO REPLACE ALL THE DRUMS, IT COST MORE THAN A NEW MACHINE. TECH SUPPORT A BIG JOKE. THEY DONT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH OR HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE OR SHE IS SAYING. IT A LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGG WAIT TO GET ANSWER. THE AUTOMATED PHONE SUCKS.

The worst! Printer kept saying Paper jam without actually paper jam. Technical support doesn’t help. Return with restocking fee.

Don't bother buying new. They'll send a used one. Just got my printer in today, and it's been open and used already! All the safety tape was gone, the cartridges were already installed, and there was paper in the tray. Plugged it in, and it was already "set up and ready to go." Even refurbished printers are properly packaged and come factory reset. Double checked to make sure that I did in fact buy the new model - I did.
