Not a wise purchase. This printer does not work well. I am a tech savvy person and know how to download drivers, install printers and so forth. This printer is also not a copier/printer. Just a laser printer and in all honesty, it is not dependable. I will speak with tech support in the morning. I almost missed a deadline for a contract because I could not print from home. Not good.

Insert Toner I'm in the same boat with other comments just says insert toner, can't do anything with it. We literally use it for church bulletins and have had it for 10 months. So it said Insert Toner with the ink that came with the printer, so I replace them since they were starter cartridges, with Brother ink and still same issue. So I bought off brand ones and they worked for 6 months but now I'm back to Insert Toner, and since I have the off brand ink now Brother will not honor warranty unless we spend another $200 for a... read more

Just don't! Just don't buy one! So very disappointed with this laser printer purchase. Print quality is horrible, error messages, problems with sleep mode and wifi connection ect...

Won't print In the middle of printing just fine it will stop and tell you to replace the yellow toner cartridge. It won't let you finish the print job. It won't do anything until you replace the yellow toner. There's no way to override its refusal to continue printing. It does not matter that you want to print a black-and-white document or don't care about getting the best color quality. If you happen not to have a new yellow toner cartridge lying around then the printer is totally useless until you get a new one and replace... read more

Don't waste your money Get a hammer, chisel, and slabs of rock before you purchase this printer.

Died after 1 1/2 years of light use Worked great and one day the screen just went blank. This was something I bought as a teacher to print things to laminate for my students to use in class. It was used so infrequently we still have the original color cartridges that are not fully used. I am really disappointed since it is not that old and spent a good deal of money on it.

Piece of junk This printer has been nothing but trouble since I got it. The wifi feature was a pain to connect, and slow. Works better connected to USB. Prints with ink smudges on pages. Doesn't do duplex, so I have to do manually, which does not work well. Constantly jams, or thinks that it has a jam even when it doesn't. Wastes lots of paper and time. I have another brother printer that I like for B&W printing (model 2270), but need to find another option for color. Don't waste your time with this one.
