Waste of Money We had issues with this printer right away. Less than a year into owning it, the pages started wrinkling during printing. Dropped it off to a service center as it was still under warranty. They had it three different times (basically telling us there was nothing wrong or they didn't know the issue). Drum failed after 1423 pages, Brother refuses warrantee replacement The printer is fast and holds an entire ream of paper. That's where the good stuff ends. Prints were always smudged, from when the printer was new. At 1423 pages, Brother Tech Support identified that the drum cartridge was bad, but refused to replace it under warranty saying that the drum is a consumable and is only covered for 90 days. Leaking toner cartridge or drum unit. This is the worst Brother printer I've ever owned. It leaves splotches of toner all over most pages and at least a haze. I get repeated clean the drum messages throughout the day. It doesn't help to clean it 4 times a day. It's impossible to be productive. I use only the oem toner cartridge and drum. I have no idea what is wrong with this thing. Do not buy this. I almost never review things. But this needed to be said.

I called in to brother customer support and they did send a replacement toner cartridge. Printing Quality is getting worse day by day... I usually write positive feedback and reviews for most of product that our family and business orders. Overall I like Brothers Printer that's why I bought this printer. Since I got this printer about a year and half ago, the printing quality get worse day by day. now it's come to the point that I can not use it at all....black ink all over the page especially the few print in the morning....I disappointed in this particular model very much.
Bleeds ink like a stuck pig I am sorry I wasted the money on this printer. It bleeds so much ink I can't read half my papers. It sucks so much power the lights in my room dim when I use it. Unbelievable piece of garbage. If I could give it a less than one rating I would. . I thought a new cartridge might help, but nope, not a bit. Not even 6 months old and its headed to the trash heap
***Careful*** Need to replace Drum ever 6 month. I have owned HP many years and purchased this due to great price and ratings. I Will not purchase again. You have to replace the drum often! The cost for supplies too expensive.
No drum cleaning option unless you do it manually!!! This printer does not have a way to clean the drum unless you do it manually. WHAT A PAIN. The drum fails. Gets dirty and they instruct you to clean it with a cotton ball. What happened with the cleaning feature? Terrible! I have had this printer for about 6 months and I need to replace the drum already? Ripoff
