Good printer but save yourself from its fatal flaw This printer has some good features but the toner cartridge design is a major flaw. About 1500 sheets into the 3,000 max rated for the cartridge that came with the printer, the pages started coming out 'dirty'. Sometimes to the point of unreadability. Cleaning the printer solved the problem but it recurred very fast after only a few additional pages were printed. The next to useless phone support at Brother agreed that it was a toner cartridge defect, but had no solution. Go... read more

Worst purchase ever This printer is probably one of the worst purchases I have ever made.i have used Brother printers last ten years, and have always been very happy with my purchases. Unfortunately, not this one. It literally took me two hours of trying and failing to set it up. After this fiasco, I gave up and paid IT tech from work to come to my house and set it up. It took him bout 45 min. After that,it worked great for about two weeks. Then , it wasn’t online any longer, for some reason, so- not working. It is impossibl... read more

Terrible product Had a good brother scanner at my old office and figured to give this a shot due to price/ppm speed. Huge mistake - still on the first cartridge and it is leaking all over the sheets as they print. As a small business this is really setting me back especially since I am using the most expensive paper. In addition for some reason in sleep mode sometimes the computer cannot reach it to "wake it up" and I have to go there, unplug it and plug it back in to be able to print. This is pure trash of a printer.

Definitely not pro grade I have used a Brother all in one that only lasted like 2 years and countless dual tray ink jet printers as well. For what I am paying for them you would expect to get more longevity or a longer lifespan then say two years or so. They are certainly not cheap especially when you buy the high-yield toner hoping that they would be commercial grade.

Time to put your ink jet away and move up to laser printing! This was probably a little "over kill" for my home printing needs, but I wanted a printer that just simply works on demand. This printer does everything I need, and then some! I used a color ink jet printer for decades, but eventually became tired of seeing that one of the five expensive color cartridges had expired, and that it wanted me to replace them. I had finally had enough, and decided to buy a monochrome laser printer. After reading review, after review, (a... read more

Do Not Buy: Significant Creasing Do not buy this model. The duplexing function creases paper to such a significant degree that text is not readable along the length of the crease, often the full length of the page.

Can no longer print wirelessly after 2 1/2 years. -After 2 (1/2) years cannot print wirelessly anymore. -First printed page each time comes out with a deep vertical wrinkle the entire page. -Does hold more paper than my other Brother printer I have had this printer for 2 (1/2) years and it will not stay online anymore. I have to connect it via USB for it to work. I have another Brother machine that has lasted me 15 years, cost less money and faxes and copies. Disappointed. I only bought this machine because it holds so much ... read more

Would not buy again Our company bought 20 of the HL-L6200DW printers, and quite honestly, would never buy another Brother printer. The print quality is good for a short time, until the toner dumps into the drum unit, then good luck with a decent quality print job. We get spots on the prints as well as blacked out spots. Back to HP we will go.
