Had a battery replaced and then a few months later it died again. Now its the alternator. They obviously did NOT check the alternator when they replaced the battery. When I pointed this out they took no responsibility. In addition there was another electrical issue related to the battery connection to the fuse box. They said someone must have handled this rough and broke it. They were the only ones working on the car so probably caused it. As others have said-- poor quality. I belive broke things. Be weary of this place. They have a decent warranty, but they don't do very good work. And you'll keep going back and racking up the fees because, they don't do a quality inspection the first time and they guess on what needs to be repaired. Choose Bobby and Steve's and you'll be much happier, and your checkbook will thank you.

My mom brought my car in less than a year ago to fix the driver side window...charged her $300. I was out of town otherwise I never would have paid that! Anyways not much I could do about it and well the window is fixed. Now it is no longer working. I called the Honest 1 and he told me that they would look at it but it's gonna cost me $120 if they determine it's a new problem. I don't think I would put too much trust in the name based on my experience. Took my car there because it was closer to where I now live. It was a semi-costly mistake. They ran a 'free-computer scan' which cost me about $100, and found a lot of things wrong, being pretty consciousness about my car, I knew most if not all of the things they claimed were wrong, weren't. These guys are great. The first time I went to Honest-1, I went for an oil change. Great customer service and quality maintenance for a good price! I have brought my car there for a number of services, both maintenance and emergency. The guys are always up front about the costs and whether it is worth the repairs.

I have used this about 4 times for routine oil changes and winter tire swaps, so I cannot comment on their emergency services. It's also ridiculously close to where I live. Services are best done by appointment, and do not take too long. Oil changes take an hour and a half, tire changes around 2 hours. The waiting area is nice, with Internet, TV (though it's a boring channel), and soft seating, but since I live in the area, I'm typically shopping at the Wedge. HORRIBLE!!! WILL NEVER GO BACK! Brought them my car after the alternator went out, they put in a remanufactured one FOR $500. I thought this was pricey but what am I going to do right? I did not get to work until noon. Then, driving home from work at 930pm, the car died. Yep, faulty alternator again. I get it towed to the same shop, they start working on it next day. About a month ago I ran over a wood drill bit that was just laying in the middle of Hennepin Ave during rush hour. But I'm not bitter. I took my tire to Honest 1 to see if they could fix it. Unfortunately it was too close to the edge of the tire and they said, "some places would fix it but we won't because we can't guarantee it will hold up over time." This place is second choice for my auto care only next to my amazing father, the best mechanic I know. I have been here twice and had exquisite service both times. For instance, I was told my car would be done at 11am, I showed up, it wasn't done, a mere mistake in communication, but the employee was so saddened that he had relayed the wrong information that he gave me a free oil change for another time and a reduced price on my oil change that day.
