They neglected to do a thorough check so I was left with more problems than when I brought it in! I brought my car in with the transmission light on and my car having trouble switching gears. They were able to get me in right away and thought they found the problem, but when they said it was good to go, I paid, picked it up, drove away and there was no change in my car, the same thing was happening. Fantastic auto shop! I can't even put into words how impressed I've always been with honest auto care. Today I dropped my Jeep for a freeon boost and ironically the lock cylinder went out, when I was about to leave. They got it back in got it fixed up in no time at all. Gave me a curtesy ride back home and back to the shop after. Their prices are always lower than the competitors. Their customer service is by far the best I've even seen. I've been to honest-1 uptown twice now and had excellent service both times. The first time because my check engine light was on. They fixed it in five min and charged me nothing. I usually hate taking my car in, so I thought this experience was too good to be true. The second time was for a routine oil change. They helped me immediately and got it done in 30 min. It says a lot for me to write a review on an auto shop - definitely will be back!

I went to Honest-1 because i got a mailer and their location was close to my home. I initally had an oil change done and the entire crew was great, extremely helpful, knowledgable, and never once condesending, which can be a big issue when I start ask specific questions, but these folks answered everyone and even helped me come up with a plan for my long list of car to-dos. I went in to the New Hope location in February 2018. The reason for my visit was my son had just gotten his drivers license and we had a older car for him to drive. This car was just meant to get us through graduation (2 years) which is the very first thing I told Honest 1 when we went in there to have the car's heating fixed. This is MN so no heating in February coupled with a new driver on the road was not a good combination. Attention Folks! Never go to these crooks. They are very cheesy and cheap in the way they treat their customers. Their parts are inferior and the service is crappy to say the least. I put some new parts on my Nissan with them and they made sure I keep on going back to them. Also, they took weeks to attend to a big issue they created when they replaced some important parts of my car which I had warranty for. I brought my car in, that was working 100% fine, to be checked out. I was told I needed to fix $2500 worth of repairs on a part that had a minor issue. I repeatedly asked if ANYTHING else was wrong because I was not going sink this much money into more issues. I was told NOTHING else was wrong, so I did the repair. I go to get my car and find the check engine light on. I go back in and it takes them ten minutes to tell me, "oh it's just because they did work." I drove to Minneapolis for the weekend from Chicago. So when my check engine light came on less than 24hrs before I was supposed to make the 6 hour drive home you can imagine how I felt. Not being from Minneapolis I was nervous to pick a mechanic that I had no prior knowledge of. I searched Yelp and Honest-1 had great reviews.
