This is a no brainer. Easily 5/5 stars for this place. I have never heard of a fried chicken place receiving a Michelin Bib so I definitely had to try it out. This place is a bit small and it was surprisingly packed for a Sunday Afternoon but that didn't deter me at all. Was visiting DC and looked on Yelp to see if there was a good fried chicken place nearby and happy I found Honeymoon Chicken. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the place looked very clean and the food was delicious. The fried chicken was the best I had while in DC. It was amazing! The honey butter rolls were my second favorite and the potato wedges were amazing. 10000 times YES! Came to DC for a work trip and was told about this hole in the wall Michelin Fried Chicken. Had my hotel been closer I would have come back every single day! The place was cozy and quaint with barcodes on the table for you to order and pay. Prices were extremely reasonable for a nice portion and the food came out so quick! Loved the space inside! We sat at the bar and ordered through the QR code. I got the red hot dusted tenders, Mac and cheese and a honey butter roll. The tenders were good and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The sauces were also really nice and you're able to ask for more if needed. Very good fried chicken! They actually have a huge menu of classic fried chicken and tenders, plus sandwiches and a rotating menu of different specials. Everything is really good, but my favorite menu item is the boneless chicken tenders. The sauces are all great and there's a range of spice options if you want mild, spicy or extra spicy. The sides and the rolls are all very good and love the wedge fries -- some of the best I've had in DC!

The halal fried chicken here is hearty and filling, with a good, solid flavor. While it might not be the best fried chicken I've had, the generous portions definitely make up for it. Plus, the staff are super friendly and welcoming--definitely adds to the experience!

This spot is a true gem. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. But what really takes it over the top is their hot honey dust--it's amazing! It's sweet, spicy, and just the right kick of heat to elevate every bite. A heads up: they don't take reservations, so expect a wait--especially since the place is always buzzing and the seating is very limited. But trust me, it's totally worth it.
