My friends were in town and I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to check a spot off of my "must try" list and it did not disappoint! The ambiance inside is very homey and reminds me of a small town diner. The service was good; they were helpful and attentive making sure to explain to us the order process as well as the menu. Came here with a friend after seeing it on IG, and it did not disappoint. We definitely ordered too much, but the chicken was worth it. From the buttered buns to the margarita everything was flavourful. The chicken itself was nice and juicy and seasoned perfectly. It was definitely packed during the lunch hour, so we ended up sitting at the bar. But the crowded warm room just added to the experience. I would love to come back and try some more of their offerings.

I visited Honeymoon Chicken yesterday and ordered the three-piece (white) signature hot honey dipped. The chicken was seasoned and fried to pure perfection crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. It came with a breast wing and jumbo wing. The hot honey sauce was finger-licking good and added the perfect sweet-heat kick. Honestly, it's was just OK. Just OK. It's a QR Code service, which I appreciate, but it was slow and they missed orders in the end. While the staff responsive, they just seemed overwhelmed. Two of our sides were missed with the Mac and cheese and corn. The rolls that came with the chicken, were slightly warm, but not warm enough. I discovered Honeymoon Chicken through a social media post and I'm so glad we made it out to try this place. The honey butter rolls was one of my favorite things we ate during this trip! There's plenty of seating either inside or outside. It's kind of stuffy inside because of the open kitchen layout so I'd recommend going outside. Seat yourself and order directly through the QR code. Love HC and order delivery monthly. Love the new enormous Crispy Chicken Caesar wrap 10/10! Whole Bucket Chicken 8/10 was fried a little dark for my taste but still very good. Brussels 10/10 were the best I've had here or anywhere, just the right amount of firmness and coating, different than past orders. Excellent eaten with yummy Smashed Potatoes 9/10. Best chicken in the DMV! Problem is, people are starting to find out, and this place can get really crowded when trying to place a takeout order or sit down. Mac and cheese is not very good, so you can skip that. Best sides are probably the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. Rolls are also great, when fresh.

Yes they have military discount. So originally I was pissed because I wanted a bucket and I didn't want 4 legs I would have rather all thighs and the one guy was saying to exchange it I would have to pay 5 bucks a thigh to exchange the legs. I kept it the same and just got the damn legs and thighs . Sides are trash but!!! The chicken is really good and the sauces are to and the breads delicious. I got the coleslaw yuk. I've been eating Honeymoon Chicken since 2022 and used to feel like the food was just ok. I think that was due to the fact that I would only get it delivered and the way that the food was packaged would make it a little soggy upon arrival.
