This chicken is so good! Went during happy hour and tried the spicy chicken, Brussels sprouts, lobster roll and a cocktail. Quick service, super casual and i loved that I could order and pay all on my phone. Their WiFi isn't the greatest fyi
I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was so good! The waffles had an unexpected cinnamon and nutmeg taste but it was soooo good! The hot dust that was on the chicken was also good. My cousin ordered the shrimp poboy and that good as well. It was so good and I am looking forward to going back and getting more of a lunch order. Came here for the first time for dinner with hubby and a couple other friends. Hubby and I ordered their honey butter rolls appetizer, seafood basket, mango habanero chicken sandwich with potato wedges, honeymoon hand pies dessert, and tornado mixed drink. Love this place. My family is always excited when I tell them I'm bringing a bucket of Homeymoon home. The checking is delicious. I've only eaten in once. It's kind of small and our booth was tight so we usually get our food to go. This last time was also the first time I ever got a side. They clearly put all of their attention on the chicken! I was in DC on business, so I found myself at Honeymoon Chicken twice. The staff was friendly, the other patrons were friendly and the food.... Well, let's just say that there's a reason this place is so well known.
My my my this place is good! It was super crowded, but we got seated within 20 mins. The waffles are probably the best I've had. They're fluffy and super soft. You know how Belgian waffles have a tendency to be tough and dry? This was not that! These are also seasoned with cinnamon and what tasted like all spice. Just yum. This is one of the 2 best tasting chicken place in DC. Their chicken is always moist and the original hot honey chicken has the best taste ever. The only thing that that they could improve is having handmade biscuits instead of tge rolls they have now. The dessert (pies) are also excellent. I always but extra hot honey sauces.

Wow...definitely best fried chicken I've ever had - the hot honey sauce definitely elevates it and the skin is super crispy.The bucket serving was large and they had huge pieces of chicken in them. The honey butter rolls were so soft and buttery and I could've inhaled multiple. The chicken tenders were thick and paired so nice with their sauces!
