Beware - their Service Department will make an appointment with you ***without*** making certain they have the parts in stock. You would think it is a pretty simple question ("do you have the part in stock or not?"), but to them, it is not. Twice now I have made appointments with their Service Department, asking numerous times if they actually had the part in stock (and being told they did), only to arrive for my appointment and being told that I'd have to leave and come back in 4 to 5 days or leave my wife's car with them ... read more
I took my Camry in for warranty work, a faulty gas gauge, goes from full to empty when driving just a few miles or stuck on empty when I start the car, even when full. Needle slowly starts going back up after driving a few more miles. I was charged a $49 diagnostic fee only to be told that no codes showed up on the computer and since the gauge is working right now, there was nothing that could be done. So I get a recall notice for the possibility of a rear differential locking up on my 2016 Tacoma. I called Hoover Toyota at 7:30 am. I told them I had a recall and wanted to know how long it would take and did I need to make an appointment. They said no that all the warranty items get pushed ahead of the normal repairs. 10 month old truck... blower motor goes out... take it in... get the run around for a week... no one calls back about anything... you have to force the issue... No A/C for 2 weeks... You are not taken care of once you buy from them... Sales guys are great... the service dept is a shambles
While my purchase was reasonably pleasant, the service department was a total failure. I had my car brought in last week for a 6 moth service they emailed me and said I needed. It turned out they only rotated the tires and topped off the windshield washer fluid. Great way to waste half my day on something the say I only need every 5,000 miles - my car only has 3,500. I don't advice women, especially African American, to visit due to the unprofessional staff. My sister went in for an oil change and the receptionist was rude when she checked out. Then when she went to get her car nobody told her where it was located. She had to go find help and was told her car was in the back parking lot in a corner. There were several empty spaces in the front but they parked her car in the corner lot purposely so she wouldn't find it. Very unprofessional.
Why I say I hated it. I made an appointment for an oil change today. Got there 10 minutes early. And then it happen. I have always love this dealership. Have bought two cars. But the services department in the new section was nice but the manager was ugly and rude. After waiting for a hour and half for a oil changes she rudely told me two cars was ahead of me. Service is SLOW, over priced, and tries to sell you things you do not need.
Nice folks but have to disagree with a 49$ diagnostic charge on each squeak & knocking sound under truck that I hear. Squeaky noise while driving at slow speeds & when you step into truck & an occasional knocking sound when turning. Should be one 49$ charge not 3...just doesn't seem right. Hindsight is 20/20...won't do the diagnostic deal again.
