Beautiful hotel and property. The only thing I didn’t like was there wasn’t a place to sit and relax that wasn’t at the pool or restaurant. The property is open to the public and not just hotel guests. Be prepared to pay for everything..beach chair, hotel activities..nothing is included.
The history of this Hotel is fascinating.
You are paying for the view of the ocean and beach. The room that we had was very nice and beautiful. The staff was nice and friendly, the property in some areas was just nice, need some maintenance. The food was just so so as well but very costly.
The property is a monumental landmark and is located in a fascinating place. However, it was not kept up properly. The elevator and always were not cleaned. Very little attention to the details. The management was at the level of a 3 star hotel
Property is nice but a bit dated. The gym was under construction, no room service and most restaurants close fairly early, parking was ridiculously expensive ($80 per night), and the amenities charge of $55 per night when the amenities are pretty limited seems excessive. Charging $255 per hour for a few beach chairs for the firepits (but you do get smores) seems ridiculous and quite frankly insulting given the $55 a night amenities charge
5 star hotel. It doesn’t get better than this in San Diego!
Staff and location excellent Room, in particular the shower poor.
Such a beautiful iconic hotel. Stayed at “The Views” breathtaking views of the pacific and the hotel.
