He was diagnosed with a possible CCL tear of the left knee. Prescribed pain meds, sedative and anti inflammatory drug rimadyl and only leash walk for 2 weeks. I use to love this vet but I am so sick of their terrible customer service. You never call this place without either getting a busy signal or being put on extended hold. I am told they are not under staffed but you can't get an appointment for your pet when they need it. You either have to wait for weeks on end to get an appointment or pay an up-charge for a "sick visit". Even then, they won't give you an appointment for the next day for your up-charged sick visit, you have to call over and over again the next day to compete... read more
Poor encounter with a very rude desk staff member. She was extremely rude and unprofessional towards me during my visit today. I did not get her name but she was about medium build with reddish curly hair. She came to bring out my dog's medicine and very rudely demanded that I put a mask on before she could give it to me. As as matter of fact, she did not just ask rudely, she yelled "Do you want to put a mask on, please?" and gave me a very nasty look. I had a couple issues from my last visit. 1) I went to drop off my dog and when I called to let them know I was out front, the rude women hung up on me. After 1/2 hour in the parking lot a nicer lady came out to get my dog. How hard is it to be nice? 2) I explained to the lady taking my dog I would be picking him up the next Sunday Morning at 8:30am and to please give him a bath on Saturday so he is dry the next Morning - Nope! This place is only good for "well visits" if your animal gets sick.....expect everyone to be inconvenienced here. My puppy was vomiting and had diarrhea. I called on a Tuesday morning and they squeezed him in at 940 am and let me know I would be charged an "emergency visit fee" ummm okay during business hours and waiting an hour and 10mins doesn't really seem like I should be charged an emergency fee but whatever. I have no problem with the animal hospital. Its the Groomer's I have a problem with. My dog has been going there for years. He recently hurt his leg and the last time he was groomed they had some trouble getting him on the table. Since then, my dog has been on medication for his leg & he has been a lot better. My family and I used to love this place for our dogs but recently they have lost all our votes. I feel they have become more centered around money and have lost the idea of pets are family too. Recently we had a family dog put down and he was clearly a boy, he had the parts and it was in his record but on the sad day of putting him down they kept calling him 'she'. I recently had my pit bull (Augie) stay in boarding here at Huffard. He only stayed for 4 days and this was the second time he had stayed here. When I picked him up he was a bit woozy and lethargic but I didn't think anything of it. The staff told me there were no notes and he had done well.
