Dr. McCafferty is awesome she made sure and took the best care of Lil Black today and saved his life definitely the best vet spot around!!
Dr. Gray is very knowledgeable. She is kind and compassionate and has always had my dogs and my best interest. She truly cares! The front staff is always helpful. Having had 2 dogs with long time illnesses I would only trust Huffards to care for my pets.
I have 2 dogs, an 11 year old rescued shepherd mix and a 7 year old black lab. I have taken my dogs to Huffards for the past 10 years and they have been wonderful. I do find them pricey, but worth it. My black lab is not very social and is scared when we enter Huffards, but Dr. Mosby is great with her. She is calming and kind hearted. My Shepard mix is getting old and slowing down, and Dr. Mosby gave me great advice to keep her healthy as long as we can. The office staff is friendly and efficient. I have been bringing my cats here for many years. I recently went through the toughest situation a pet owner can face - making the decision to have a beloved but elderly and very sick companion pet put to sleep. Dr. Gray and the entire staff were very thoughtful and considerate, both to me and to my cat. These are obviously pet people - they get what it means to have to say goodbye to one of the furry members of your family. Dr. McCafferty is absolutely amazing. She treated my 21 year old cat as if she was her own and always applauded us for how well that we took care of her. I trusted my cat with her as much as I trust myself or my mom. Unfortunately she was out of town when it came time for my cat to need to be put to sleep a few years ago but another vet that was on site was absolutely fantastic. My mom always took her cats and dogs here, and years later, now I am and I know why she liked it so much! They're so good with my dog, Lucia. She's normally a shy little thing, but she took to Dr. Hu instantly and her nerves calmed pretty quickly. I've only had to take her in for routine shots and care, but I never come out of there feeling financially drained or like I was pressured into anything extra. I've used a few different vets throughout my time here in the DC/Baltimore area, and this place beats them all. From the staff to the doctors everyone is very friendly and helpful. We have used them for all our dogs veterinary services, as well as for boarding. Prices on everything are the most reasonable by far we've come across in the area and I'm always surprised at how economical their vet services are. I've been bringing my dog to this vet office for two years now. Beautiful and clean facility. Front office staff can be on the impersonal/cold side and prices are higher than average but the veterinary care has been top notch. I've never felt rushed during exams/treatments, the doctors have been knowledgeable and take the time to provide education and answer all my questions thoroughly, and my dog has been treated with the utmost kindness and compassion. The service and care provided by the veterinarians keep me coming back!
I have been using Huffard Animal Hospital as my primary vey clinic for over three years now. Dr. Kim Gostyla is fantastic with both my puggles, Killian and Quincy. She is very friendly, and her compassion for animals is obvious during every visit. The facility itself is kept bright and very clean. Huffard IS a pit pricier than other clinics (thus the 4 stars), but I would rather pay a little more for quality than take any chances with my two best friends.
