I can not say enough good things about Huffard! The front desk staff is always warm and welcoming, the techs are always friendly and Dr. Plitt is simply amazing. My dogs never enjoyed going to the vet until we started coming to Huffard, my boxer gets excited just hearing Dr Plitts voice through the exam room door while we are waiting to be seen! Last Saturday I went into Huffard Animal Hospital in absolute distress. My normal vet is an hour away & was closing soon - but I needed someone now. My poor puppy had something wrong with him - and I didn't know how to help him. Dr. Carpenter was PHENOMENAL. She quickly explained what was wrong & what they were going to do to fix it. She made us feel so at ease and I knew that my pup was going to be in good hands. She told me leave him with her, go relax, and she would take care of it. Bringing my cats here for vaccines has been great! The vet and technicians are amazing. They have classical music playing in the cat exam room, a padded bad for them to sit on for their exams, treats to distract them and feliway calming spray to keep them calm while they're here.

Dr. Gray is absolutely amazing! I had two very sick cats who had been misdiagnosed and mistreated for years by the vets at Southgate Animal Hospital. By the time I came to Huffard for a second opinion, I was distraught. Dr. Gray listened carefully to my concerns, spent time looking at the vet records from Southgate, and immediately starting assessing Donald and Sheldon. I've been taking my dog here for 12 years. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when I come in. The wait times can be a little long if they are really busy and you are just coming in for a wellness check, but when I brought my dog in for an emergency visit she was seen immediately, was diagnosed quickly and followed up on, which was appreciated. The prices are on the high side but the bottom line is I like the vets, the staff and the facility, which is why I keep coming back.

I've taken my two dogs and two cats here for over 6 years. I'm consistently pleased with the patience of the staff, how quickly and efficiently they move and the genuine caring of the team. Doctors Plitt, McCafferty, Mosby and Grey are the vets I've worked with and loved them all. When my now 7 year old dog, Baxter was suddenly in severe back pain, I really relied on the care of Huffard to run tests and look for a solution. He ended up needing really scary spine surgery that required a referral to a neurologist. Every visi... read more

Dr. Cafferty is awesome... however, she and Huffard are NOT 4X as awesome as Millersville Animal Hospital.... which is how much more they wanted for teeth extraction an a cat. $1250 ?? not to mention the $158 we just went for the exam?? just TOO much $$$ go to Millersville Animal Hospital.. just as good... WAY less money
