This is more of a review of Huffard's grooming service than their veterinary care. Julie, their groomer, is AWESOME. I have a sheltie whom I am very picky about when it comes to grooming. I won't just drop him off at any old place. I found Huffard through the recomendation of another sheltie owner and couldn't be happier! Response time. Everything takes so long. If you have a kitten or any pet with health needs go somewhere else. It's like take abmessage and a vet will get back to you eventually. Plus they don't work with outside pharmacies even if they don't carry what you need. Their online pharmacy is a glitch website which I find to be a pain to use.
will not be returning for any further service. I paid for 1 year of Nexguard PLUS on 10-26-24. Only received 6 months supply. You refused to honor the balance, $164.54
No one answers the phone. I love all of the vets there but I can't make an appointment. I think they have more customers than they can handle.
Our fur babies have been patients of Huffard Animal Hospital for years. Dr. McCafferty was simply the BEST!!! Since she's left things have declined. Wait times are ridiculous, even with appointments. Today I called to schedule a yearly wellness appointment. I didn't mind being put on hold, an employee updated me there were 4 calls ahead of me. Pretty disappointed with how this place handled today. Decided to move my senior cats care from Banfield to Hufford because she had some stomach issues and needed more blood work that was included in Banfeild's annual plan. January we come in for our first annual exam and pay for the 3 month bundle of solensia (a pain shot for cats) I was pretty shocked it was $386 after asking for prices in December they explained we increased our prices for the new year. After being a client for over 20 years, I can see how much the quality of service has gone downhill. I get reminder post cards for a dog that I have told the office has died. I get reminder post card for fosters that were adopted over a year ago. It's very difficult to get an appointment with a vet. The wait in the waiting room is very long. This isn't just a busy practice, it is a practice that simply cannot fulfill their commitment to a pet owner because they take on too many customers. This practice is very understaffed and they are constantly in a rush, hence they are prone to making mistakes and missing information. This practice takes on more customers than they can actually handle which results in a lot of customers not receiving sufficient care in a timely manner. We went to this veterinary clinic with my cat complaining of vomiting and loss of appetite. Dr. Logan Grant examined him and I showed Cucu's old results. Dr. offered to do a blood test and I accepted. When She came back with the blood results she still didn't understand what had happened to my cat.
