I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt on my last review but since then i have had more bad service. I would not recommend them to anyone. They said they were going to take care of a second mass during surgery if it needed attention and forgot to and the communication since then has been awful. I called and left a message, like the person who responded to the review said to and never got a call back. Finally, I got someone on the phone and now our cat has to go through a second surgery that is almost double what we ... read more

This place has really gone down hill since Covid. I believe they are taking in too many patients and due to the lack of staff, the patient care is sacrificed. After coming to this place for 8 years, I had no choice but to change vets. What a shame!

Our pet has loose bowels and was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease on our first visit to Huffard. We had 2 additional visits as the treatment progressed to find a solution to ease the IBD. A battery of tests were given and medications were prescribed with steriods being the latest option. After 2 weeks of steriods, our cat had a vomiting spell all night and extremely loose bowels and to us, it seemed like he needed some immediate care. huffard's would be the very last place i would ever take my dog if she needed help! on sunday april 24th my dog was viciously attacked and was bleeding badly from her mouth. i called your hospital and told you about my emergency and brought my dog there to be looked at. when i got into the lobby, i was told that your doctor would not see her because you were closing in 15 minutes. my dog was suffering; and all your doctor had to do was take a look and let me know what my next steps should be; but they could not be bothered!... read more

Very unprofessional staff, this could be why they have staffing issues. They always have excuses for their poor management. They also did not have anyone in charge at the time I was there, poor management. Called for meds 48 hour in advance told three people I was going out of town needed the meds that morning. Even took off from work to get it.

I am very upset with Huffard...We made an appointment for our new dog to get checkout. Huffard called and left a message to confirm appointment, it took me 4 phone calls to speak to someone...and than she put me on hold each time I called for 20 minutes or longer. Every time I called to confirm the appointment, the girl would ask emergency, I would tell her no and she automatically put me on hold. High priced and greedy. Can't get in in a reasonable amount of time unless you pay an up charge.

We do our best to see every pet as quickly as possible; unfortunately, we cannot always see every pet on the same day an owner calls. My Yorkie received a quality of life and survived a week at another boarding facility despite Huffard's negative outlook. She did well with the other dogs as if she did not leave home. The boarding facility followed my instructions on how to care for her, and the staffs did it successfully. With love and care, she was saved from the horrors and stressful situation under a veterinarian's unnecessary intervention. Takes 2 days to clear meds for my dog after he's been taking them for 6 months! Pathetic
