I've taken my pets here for the past 15 years and I've never had any issues. Dr. Plitt is fantastic, and Julie does an amazing job grooming. Highly recommend.

Staff and doctors are so friendly and knowledgeable. I love that there is a separate waiting area for cats, and that checkout is done in exam room. Very efficient. We love Dr. Plitt!

Very caring, patient, and professional! My dog is old and can be difficult at appts. The doctors, assistants and staff go out of their way to do everything they can for him !

This was my first visit and it was a great experience from start to finish. My Angel Bebe Kisses suffered a scratch on her eye from the groomers. I noticed that her eye was shut by the 3rd day and she wasn't acting normal. In fact, I thought she was dying (I'm a fairly new dog mom). It broke my heart to see my baby feeling bad. My friend recommended Huffard and they gave me an emergency appointment the same day that I called. The reception area was very clean and they had snacks for dogs and us humans lol. I love how well they take care of my dog. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Our family dogs have gone to Huffard for years. I adopted a senior pit bull from the county shelter in May. He was having some problems yesterday and they worked us in even though they had no appts available. He needed surgery and that was taken care of today. I can't say enough good things about the vets and the staff. They are always so caring and kind with both my dog and me.
We started going here for grooming only, we have our own vet. Our dogs (2) loved going there and we were very happy with all the grooming staff. We have since left. In addition to all the regular shots, they started requiring us to get an annual grooming checkup at their vet, an annual flu shot and a fecal sample. JUST TO BE GROOMED. Our dogs have their own Vet but Huffard started wanting more money out of us, as if paying for the grooming wasn't enough. Hi Jessi. We hope a brief explanation will help you better understand our policies. Our grooming area is a shared space with our boarding resort. If there is a contagious upper respiratory outbreak in our boarding resort, our grooming guests will be exposed or vice versa. Last year we did have an outbreak on the East Coast, and we had to shut our grooming and boarding down and cancel reservations on over 50 families at the last minute leaving many without alternative accommodations. Great care, but the wait times are astronomical. Every time I've been, I Sit in the lobby for at least 30-60 minutes past my appointment time. No matter what small thing you're going to the vet for, expect a 2 hour visit. And lobby is always so full, easily 8-10 dogs

Emergency cases also take priority at times and do cause inevitable delays. We always try to communicate our wait times to the best of our ability. We have mixed feelings about Huffard Animal Hospital. We've come here for the last year and love Dr. Greenwood. She's seen us through the loss of two dogs and the care of our other two. Our main problem is lack of communication and possibly training with staff. Twice we were told during exams to bring pets back for follow-up appointments, for which there'd be no charge.
