Dr. Hu is awesome. Previously we were told and witnessed our dog being muzzled during an exam but not with Dr. Hu. She was able to calm and reassure our baby it was ok. No need for a muzzle - no growling; it was so pleasant.

I took my beloved dog to Huffard Yesterday. He was very ill and they saw him immediately. They told me what tests they needed to do and how much they would cost. Unfortunately, he was really too sick to be saved. The staff was unfailingly kind and let us take as much time as we needed with our boy both before and after Euthanization. They put him in a nice box and put a poem on the box about the rainbow bridge. The Kindness that was shown to us at a very difficult time will never be forgotten.

I really appreciated this animal hospital today. We just moved to the area from Texas where I've waited 5+ hours for emergencies last year because one of my dogs contracted distemper before I adopted. This was a very stressful time for me so I was very wary of these wait times. But I knew I needed peace of mind when my older dog chewed on a tube of gorilla glue. Huffard Animal Hospital is an outstanding clinic for both animals and human beings! Their caring administrative staff, excellent vets and marvellous techs work together to provide a seamless, positive experience. Just today I brought my elder cat in for a check-up and with a concern we'd had of late; turns out we were there on the wrong day! We've been coming here since the Summer of 2020. They have very good COVID pre-cautions which makes me and my dog feel safe. Dr. Hu, Dr. Plitt, Dr. McCaffery(sp?) and Dr. Greenwood are AMAZING! I'm a first time dog Mom and they don't make me feel silly for asking a million questions. I also email the hospital a lot and the responses are always timely and helpful. They're EXPENSIVE so definitely have a savings account just for them. Other than the high prices, I really love how they take care of my dog.

Excellent veterinary practice. Patient and caring doctors and staff. Customer friendly. Appointments are pretty easy to get despite COVID.
Dr McCafferty is an ANGEL. We have two bully breed dogs who aren't a fan of the vet and they love her. She explains everything to us perfectly after every appointment and is always willing to answer our questions. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the impossible task of getting someone to answer your call promptly as well as pricing. Looked up a procedure cost online prior to scheduling it and was very surprised when the estimate from the vet was 5x as much as the "average cost". They're wonderful! I had to bring my cat in fairly quickly (not an immediate life-threatening emergency, but something was definitely wrong with him). I filled out the request-for-contact form on their website and they called me within 15 minutes and fit me in with an appt that afternoon. Even with Covid and me not being able to go in with the cat, they called me to talk through everything they were doing, to ask questions, and to make sure they were given him the best treatment. Really liked the staff and doctors. In fact every one was nice at this visit. They have taken care of multiple pets through the years. The reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is their pricing. Needed 25 allergy pills for our 17 y/o cat. Now I expect to pay a little more at the vet, but $18.00 for 25 pills. Ridicules. Especially when I found the same medicine on line from a major pharmaceutical company. 100 pills for $4.19. Plus any meds that need a prescription can now be filled at Costco for much less then Huffard charg... read more
