The food was amazing, and lots of choices.....but very costly. The service was great, but the tables are so close together that you can hear the next tables conversation, etc. The thing that won't bring us back was the noise level, the music was an odd selection for that type of restaurant, and it was very loud. We truly enjoyed the food, and service...but not 100% sure what we will go back.
As always great food great service and have to give Alexis our server a thank you for the great attention he gave us everything was on point. Daniel the manager also very attentive and gracious. Makes you want to come back again and again. Never disappointed with the food or the service
The servers & staff were very attentive and nice. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and flavorful but the seafood pasta had a heavy sauce and seemed to have been reheated or sitting a bit before served. It was good but not as expected because of the heavy sauce. The drinks, my favorite was the Puerto Rican princess which was really good & spicy but the cucumber martini was so so & barely 2 sips worth. Also ordered a moscato that tasted a lot like a beer so I was not a fan
Dinner was OK food not all that good. Not worth the money.Will not rush back and will not recommend to others.
Came to J Prime to celebrate a birthday dinner while visiting San Antonio and the overall experience was outstanding. The food, drinks and desert were top notch and highly recommend! Sea scallops and NY strip steak were cooked to perfection. Thanks for a great night!
We planned to celebrate a birthday at J Prime. Upon arrival, we were told that the entree’ selection we wanted had been out for a while. Typically, other restaurants post on their website when a main menu item can’t b offered. Also, they did not offered a single potato side that had not been cooked with black pepper. It wasn’t even possible to order a plain baked potato as we’re told they are baked using pepper. I could go on, but will just leave it that we departed and won’t return.
The steak was not tender and the cake was dry and not moist.
I love J.Prime. The Wagyu sampler is excellent. However, I was disappointed when they indicated they use the same frier for everything. I am allergic to shellfish. I ordered the crispy brussel sprouts and the waitress asked if I was ok with them given the fact that they are flash fried in the same oil as shrimp. For a high end restaurant, this is really disappointing. After dining here 40-50 times since opening (including supporting them through Covid) our time may be coming to an end. The food continues to be outstanding, and better than the newer competitors. However, a $700 plus dinner on a Tuesday is about more than the food. The service has t match, and unfortunately tonight it was a big miss. Note - unfortunate situations occur.
