Poor Reliability I have had two serious issues with reliability with this system. I had to replace the sensor unit with the 'new and improved' unit because the original unit failed after two years of service. Very expensive repair but the replacement sensor (has the in-line box) has been working great. My original PLC1400 cell was working fine through its fourth summer when the chlorine levels dropped and faults 125 and 194 were displayed on the control unit. Worked for a few weeks and then NO FLOW I purchased this item on 7/24/17. My pool is ONLY 3 years old. Walked out to my pool on Friday and it's filled with mustard algie and black algie all over the bottom... looked on the panel and it says "NO FLOW". Not working after less than one month. Hiccup but working now. Bought in June 2016. Worked through October when we shut pool down. Just opened pool up and got it going last week and it's no flow, not producing. Lot of money for something to only work for 5 months. Kids very disappointed. Update 6/15/17: (Found the box, Manufacture date of product was 11/23/15) Turned off power, took cell off and unhooked from board, did not see any build up or anything blocking but rinsed with water hose just in case, put it back on and started pool up again. Does NOT directly replace the old retangular box-shaped PureLInk cell. Nowhere do they warn you that the unions are larger in diameter than the unions used on the old boxy 2-port PureLink cell; the cell is NOT a drop-in replacement. You have to cut out and replace the old unions with the new ones. And they don't warn you about compatibility with an old back card. So I spent $520 dollars on a new cell that wouldn't fit in place of the old cell and then I spent the better part of a day cutting out and replacing a bunch of pipi... read more
